  1. So I finished it and I love it. To each his own, I guess. No complaints from me. I can't wait to see them on the 25th.
  2. I interrupted my listening experience for you here, but it was a great request:
  3. Did ANYONE else get the Kickstarter version of the Wish I Was Here OST (I know it's not Garden State, but if you saw the movie it kind of is)? Anyway, I JUST got mine in today and it is pretty as hell. Check out this diecut inner sleeve.
  4. I would have sooner, but alas Spanish 101 interrupted my vinyl afternoon.
  5. Now spinning (and hearing for the first time as I wanted to wait)...so far so good. Track 1 is ominous as fuck.
  6. Received my fire swirl variant. It looks dope. Will spin it later. Less black in my swirls, but pretty epic looking nonetheless.
  7. WHY can't weeee be friends? Why can't WEEEE be friends? Why can't WE.BE.FRIENDS? In all seriousness, I don't have a coheed tat yet...YET, but I do have comics, and records, and shirts (god the shirts). And yes I have a Crosley. It's in my basement where I keep the VC'ers I've captured tied up with eyes pried open as I play Deja Entendu on it. Over. And over... Just kidding obviously. I don't have Deja Entendu.
  8. I love this forum. so many recommendations (and dollars spent ).
  9. Nice full circle comment! TBT->Sundials. I'd like to check 'em out too. Not much better than a good, small punk show.
  10. I won't stray from topic beyond saying this, but I have to sayit: TBT is one of my favorite bands ever. They are too good. I saw them live in NY a few weeks ago by drawing chalk art on the asphalt. It was one of the most memorable nights ever. They gave us VIP seating at the venue and we were directly over stage right. Just ugh. So good. I recommend them to everyone.
  11. I am with you on the point of not forgetting a show, but sometimes I can't help it. I think I'm an alcoholic. So I drank some nips before Coheed, but only had 2 beers at the show (before I even approached the stage) so as not to lose my spot. However when I am hanging back in the crowd (because my body feels older than I am) I tend to drink a lot. That's only if the beers aren't $12. I got pretty schwasted at Modest Mouse and Brand New, but man do I remember the hell out of it!
  12. Hey, do what you want man, but it really is a major score. It's great. Honestly, it made the film (which I highly recommend, particularly in IMAX).
  13. I guess it's all perception. I see the similarity in sound, but obviously they aren't identical. That would be no fun. I mean it would be fun, just not new. That's just why my buddy recommended them. But hey, if it is good it's good. No need to draw connections. I listen to Off With Their Heads, Elliott Smith, Trampled by Turtles, Coheed and Cambria, M.I.A., and the Clash. I'm sure most of you are the same way. I'm just glad to see more new music.
  14. I havent' heard any surface noise. I did notice the warp, but it sounds absolutely great. The original has surface noise. The only noise my peach has made is the sweet sounds of Coheed c. 2003. If they do a repress, I will attempt to acquire one of those if it proves better, but the only problem I have seen is the warp (which I feel must have been a manufacturing flaw and really isn't that bad). So either way I am stoked and hope the black and grey are as great!
  15. No definitive answer, but I believe the assumed number is 1000 based on cart checking. While the tour is probably also 1000 (40 per date times 25 dates). But like I've said before, they will magically uncover a couple boxes that were "lost" in a few months/ years.
  16. Thanks! I'll get on it. My buddy highly recommended them to me because of my mild obsession with ALK3, TLA, Slapstick, etc. (pretty much Chicago in general) in our teenage years.
  17. This is funny to me, mostly because I only just learned about Sundials a year ago and I am excited, but I haven't ordered yet. AND I still have to get all the Asian Man releases as well. They provide me teenage nostalgia combined with brand new music (i.e. similarity to ALK3 and co). Thanks for the heads up OP.
  18. It's entirely up to him, but I think I could lure him out with the Guardians of the Galaxy cassette...also one of mine...if you find someone else who can for sure, definitely go with them, but I'll try.
  19. I would, but both my shops limit it to 1 per release per person. If I can get my buddy to come with me, I'll (he'll) grab you one. I'll keep you updated. There are more than 3 things that I want, so I'll definitely be hitting the stores.
  20. Yeah, i know. I just hate standing in line (in the cold Nov. air in CT) to buy things. I will, but it's nice to moan and complain occasionally.
