  1. The artwork wasn't even changed that much. The background color is a much brighter green then the original version was. The only legitimate gripe I have is over the insane amount of spelling mistakes made in the liner notes. That's just laziness and if I'm paying $35 for an album I expect the quality to reflect the price.
  2. I don't think he owns the rights to anything, he licensed it along with the other major label stuff asbestos has put out.
  3. Glad someone posted this as I saw this on the Bosstones Instagram yesterday. Both Joe and Dicky commented on the situation. Apparently the Bosstones had plans to reissue Live From The Middle East themselves at this years Throwdown and asked Asbestos to release the license to them. Asbestos wouldn't do that and went ahead with their release. The band was also not happy with the changes to the artwork (front background color), there are also a shit ton of grammatical errors inside the liner notes that weren't on the original release. I kid you not, someone did not bother to do an edit before this thing went to press, it's almost laughable. Anyway, this sucks as I really love Asbestos and the ska releases they've done. But the Bosstones are my favorite band so I feel bad for the unfortunate position they're in.
  4. Over the weekend I picked up a really high quality bootleg of the Seattle show on vinyl. Doesn't have the complete set but I love it. It's called Drain You - Live at Pier 48
  5. I have that Against All Authority record in pretty great condition. PM me an offer
  6. I can't wait to see the final girls. The trailer makes it look like Last Action Hero meets Friday the 13th. I'll definitely be picking up the DVD next Tuesday. I thought The Gift was ok, but it was a weird viewing experience. By the end of the movie I did not feel any remorse for any of the three main characters. It did a good job of keeping you guessing the entire time, but when everything is finally revealed it just lost me.
  7. For my 33rd birthday today, I went back to a horror flick that is dear to my childhood....Critters! Then later tonight I will be watching Trick R Treat and loving every minute of it.
  8. I had been posting on the other thread until a member commented for me to "join us" here. Didn't realize you had to be watching those movies dude. Also I've been posting for days here in this thread
  9. Last night I attended a double feature of Halloween 4 and 5 on original 35mm print! I am giving Cherry Falls a watch today, the scream factory announcement yesterday made me want to go revisit the film.
  10. Did some good watching today! I watched Phantasm, The Evil Dead, and The Sentinel. Phantasm and Evil Dead got me pumped for the newest incarnations that are coming soon, and The Sentinel holds up very well. That cast is unreal for typical horror fare.
  11. I hated The Babadook. I was not Invested in the female lead, and her son just annoyed me to no end. I did not understand the hype for it at all. It Follows though...that was a banger.
  12. I disagree. I thought that the characters were pretty well developed compared to the junk from the late 90's and early 2000's. I thought it was well directed and had some cool shots, particularly when they arrived at the farm. It felt like an artsy-indie flick for the first half of the movie, and then goes to more traditional slasher.
  13. I haven't had the chance to post but I have been watching. The past few days I've watched Waxwork and Waxwork 2, We Are Still Here, All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, and Bordello of Blood.
  14. I haven't watched the Innkeepers since I bought the dvd a few years back. I didn't like it as much as House of the Devil, or even The Sacrament. It didn't have enough tension to keep me interested the whole time. I am very interested in his movie coming out next year, In A Valley of Violence. Great ensemble cast and I have always been a fan of the revenge/thriller sub genre.
  15. Yesterday I began my October Horrorthon with The Monster Squad. Man that movie takes me back to my childhood. I have a few new blu rays on the way that should hopefully be here early next week; We Are Still Here, The Sender, and Bordello of Blood (Scream Factory edition). Looking forward to seeing what sales Scream Factory has over the course of the month. We should try to post any online horror sales we come across in the spirit of the community. Still haven't made up my mind of what I'm going to be watching today. I have been in the mood for Phantasm, but I also could go for the original Friday the 13th. I'm definitely excited for Monster Mania this weekend. I hope to meet Charles Cyphers and Nick Castle. I really wanted to meet Tom Atkins but I heard that he won't be signing on the day I'm going.
  16. I began my October horrorthon with the 80's classic, The Monster Squad
  17. the news of the Bosstones live album made my day, I never thought that would ever see a pressing.
