  1. Awesome, thank you! Managed to cancel my order with Sumerian via email and have put in a new order via the Periphery store as the shipping is cheaper (and I much prefer their variant). Happy days!

Edit: also, why are people saying it's a single LP when the mock ups clearly show it as a 2 LP? Have I missed something somewhere?

  2. OK, so I know this is a little bit of optimism on my part, and is also probably a little bit early to even speculate, but I just saw this and it got me thinking:

So Steven Wilson has signed to Caroline International, part of the Universal Music Group.

The rights to Deadwing are owned by Lava Records, who are again part of the Universal Music Group.

I know from previous comments that the reason we've not seen a repress is potentially because of rights issues around Deadwing, and the likelihood that Universal weren't going to repress one single album by a now defunct band that they have no real interest in. However, this could be seen as a "foot in the door" and an opportunity for Deadwing to finally get a repress as they now have an interest in promoting SW.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I was interested to see what anyone else thought. I know there are a few Steven Wilson/Porcupine Tree fans around here.

I mean, we've waited this long. I'm sure they'll press enough that this shit is on the Deals at Amazon thread in a couple of years. I'll snag a black copy then for a pint of blood and two deer skins (at the rate my country is devolving).

Ha, and I thought the UK was the only place going to shit. At least we're not alone!

Anyway, they know this thing will sell a hell of a lot, so I fully expect them to milk this for all its worth.

I can't remember...with the last round of reissues, weren't the folks that got the UK versions saying the sound was much better than the US version?

I seem to remember that being the case yeah.

For those outside the UK, Amazon UK may be the best option depending on how the pound goes once Article 50 (to begin the Brexit process) is triggered next week. I'm by no means a financial expert but you may find that these work out cheaper or about the same as US copies depending on how things go. May be something to keep an eye on...
