I would destroy it because Michael Jackson was a child molester.

Oh, hell yeah! Frank Black &The Catholics Box Set!
slushy replied to retrospectacle's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
To be perfectly honest Show Me Your Tears was the only one I really got into. The rest were all kinda dull to me. Admittedly, I don't think I really gave any of them much of a chance though, so I'm thinking I may give them all a revisit. -

Mail-order / sleeve damage question
slushy replied to robes's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
UK/EU labels/sellers really do need to stop using those thin cardboard mailers though. I don't know if they're the only suitable mailers available to purchase over there or maybe it's a case of regular mailers creating enough extra weight to bump shipping costs up a significant amount to the point where people back out of purchases, but pretty much 50-70% of stuff I've received has been bent up to fuck. -
It's has to be expected when the left-leaning present their views/beliefs in the most comically obnoxious ways imaginable. As adults they wrote their manifestos about how they intend to DESTROY ALL CULTURE and OVERTHROW THE ENTIRE CLASS SYSTEM, ended their band, and then proceeded to return 15 years later to play Coachella. It's understandable that they are now older men and no doubt have children and mortgages to think about, but you cannot ignore the blatant hypocrisy and hilarious turn of events.

Dig Me Out is clearly their best record. -

it's great, but no way is it record of the year material. -

Record Store Day 2015 (4/18/15)
slushy replied to Family Friendly Rap God's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I just made my one and only record store day purchase to date! I found the Kyle Kinane "I Liked His..." somewhat reasonably priced on Discogs! So glad I didn't need to grab one of those $50 copies that keep popping up on Ebay. Hopefully this is the only RSD purchase I will ever need to make, ever. -

Hootenanny, Let It Be & Tim are the only three I'm super into and I already have those. A boxset sounds a bit excessive! -

PO: Creepoid - Cemetery Highrise Slum - Out 6/23/15

I liked both Creepoid records a whole bunch, but the way that the record description is written makes me feel like I may not dig this one. I'll probably wait to hear a couple of tracks before I purchase. -

Some of these kinds of videos can be okay if the person doing them is pleasant, funny, interesting and not too grating, but really, they're completely worthless. And that video was probably one of the worst I have ever seen. Just truly horrible content presented by humourless phonies. -

Hey, does anybody know any online stores that are selling the Kyle Kinane "I Liked His Old...", or did anybody pick up a copy they don't want/spare copy? Not terminally ill. -

There is no "grace period", but a grace number of listens. -
Already mentioned, but I had no idea anybody cared about Brand New. I can remember a few friends being into them years ago, but I would have just assumed they were one of those nothing bands that got some attention for a minute and were then forgotten to the sands of time. Listening to them, I cannot understand the appeal. It's like some Twilight Zone shit where people are living in a world where records that are actually good no longer exist. Not necessarily just Vinyl Collective, but the first time I sold one of my Fat Wreck coloured records I was blown away by how much it went for and how much attention/activity the auction received. It was kind of ridiculous.

I am so keen for that Black Tower LP, their demo was unreal. I will pick up the I Hate Myself collection too. -
Searching For A Former Clarity has just got this really bitter and arrogant vibe that I'm not into. Plus it's way too long and contains way too much garbage. It'd probably rank higher for me if it was trimmed down to a 6 or 8-track album. White Crosses was just this really great pop/rock album. It's glossy radio rock that's thoughtful and heartfelt in ways that glossy radio rock typically isn't. And then there was the fact that it came along after New Wave (which was the worst thing ever) and Searching For A Former Clarity (which wasn't all that good), and I was into the idea of a new Against Me! record that was listenable. I think I like Against Me! most when their at their extremes of being either a DIY punk band (RAR/Crime) or a band releasing super slick stadium rock sounding stuff (White Crosses). Everything in between is where they get real inconsistent and I kinda lose interest.
