The best thing about this reissue is that it will be a variant where the label doesn't take your money and never sends you your record, and truly, that is the greatest variant of all.

Salinas is the best. If anybody is looking for additional stuff to order the recent Outer Spaces EP is real good, as is the Try The Pie LP. The Great Thunder 2xLP is a beast as well. Pretty much everything on Salinas is a sure bet.

Yeah, I've never actually purchased anything from 24Hundred as everything they release is pretty much the exact opposite of what I find interesting about music, I was just kinda lumping them and Poison City together in that they're both those newer label/distro/store type companies that are like equal part record label and boutique clothing brand, and always seem to be putting more focus on the sale of jumpers/hoodies/beanies/shoes over actual music releases, but they have also both jumped on the variant colour bandwagon with EXCLUSIVE LTD EDITIONS /100 /200 etc, while not actually understanding how to pack a record properly. I was just wondering if these were along the lines Tom was getting at when he said "Australian companies generally don't understand vinyl consumers", or if he was referring to something else entirely different.

I would love to hear you expand on this statement a little, as I both agree and disagree, depending on who it is you are actually talking about. There are labels/companies like 24Hundred and Poison City that seem to put more emphasis on selling $70 hoodies, $60 krew jumpers, beanies and other miscellaneous shit; and when it comes to actual releases skimp on things that people who buy records appreciate like inserts, cool zine style booklets and actually packaging orders in a way that protects them in transit, and focus more making sure they have loads of fancy colour options. But on the other hand there is a new breed of record collector who are all about getting every variant at all costs, and I think these labels/companies are doing a great job of taking the aforementioned new breed of record collector's money.

I've never really been much of a Bodyjar fan... I've always thought of them as being one of the most overrated Australian punk bands, along with Mindsnare. This is easily their worst album as well.

These compilations aren't really worth owning without the cool artwork. I wonder why they opted to go for the more dull generic covers now?

I doubt this is intended to be a practical player that will be used all of the time. It's the type of novelty item you'd categorize alongside things like lava lamps, those purple electricity balls or the singing fish. It's the type of thing a boring person would bust out every now and then as a talking point for guests, a date or whatever.

That new track is way better than anything else I've ever heard from them. It's not at all what I'm into, but it sounds way better than all that hyper-macho goofy Fisher-Price® metal stuff they're typically known for. The new one sounds like a lesser Iron Maiden song with goofy vocals.

Haha, I know! Anyway, did this guy rip off that many people? I remember I ordered and it took forever, but it eventually turned up and the guy even included copies of all available variants when I only ordered the one. I think I even emailed him assuming that it meant I had somebody elses order, but I never heard back.

I don't know this album at all, but I just had a quick look and after searching for the Hotelier I found one page for it. What is your complaint? Like, what is troublesome about it?

Last year I sold a four or five copies of Reinventing Axl Rose that I had acquired copies off and was able to quickly & easily identify what pressings they were with the info available on discogs. It's not perfect, but you can easily figure shit out if you're not a total dummy.

Even if you only take into account the actual verified facts it's clear that the guy was at the very least a child sex offender. The guy served Jesus Juice to minors, the authorities found a large collection of photographs of minors in various states of undress at his house, his victims were able to accurately describe unique markings that appeared on the underside of his penis and buttocks... it's all pretty damning stuff, and then couple that with the numerous victims that came forward with their claims of abuse over a 20 year period, it paints a pretty clear picture of what kind of monster he truly was. There's something really dark about how society can just discard the knowledge that he was an abuser of children and then proceed to Thriller dance at their sisters wedding. I think it's time for society to just forget this guy out of respect for victims of child abuse and rape everywhere. Instead just listen to Prince or whatever.
