it, along with '69 newport and the Seedy CD, were originally released as official bootlegs with the band's permission to try and quell the shitty sounding bootlegs that were coming out. '69 and Seedy were done by Very Small. this one was more of a tribute kinda thing done by Murray Bowles and Eric Yee. anyway, they've all been bootlegged since. the original of "plea for peace" came on white vinyl in a pretty tick, glued sleeve. and the booklet is also on a pretty heavy cardstock. i haven't seen these new ones to see how close they are.

yeah, they did 1000 on grey (or maybe it was purple) vinyl. i passed it up a million times and now i can't find it. doh!

is "thirst" hard to come by now? i figured there were tons around since it was on lookout. i know a lot of my friends have that and probably haven't touched it in years. i'll ask around and see if i can track one down for you. i just got a copy of "extra medium" the other day. well, i'm still waiting for it to get here, but i'm stoked! now i gotta find one of those "Buzz"s that you have!

Yeah I really dig them. One of my favorite records from the whole circle of bands. If I come across an extra I'll let you know. I am pretty sure there are only 100 glossy and they mostly went to the band, early mail order, etc... Jason thanks! i appreciate that. i ordered it when it first came out and got a white vinyl/matte cover one (definitely not complaining), but the clear print one has been like a white whale for my friends and myself. i'd never even seen a pic of one until your site. so rad.

i'm extremely envious of your copies of the Area 51 10" with the glossy print. i've always wanted one of those.

impact, you are providing a sweet resource!! i've got a question for you... on "clarity" are the opposite color labels (i.e. black label on the white vinyl) the more common, and thus the "??" on your discography?

as with the other colors, this site will be your best bet. i'm sure virgil will do a post as soon as everything is confirmed.

yeah, sorry to everyone who thinks adding the fourth color is kinda lame. i totally see where you're coming from, and believe me, i had reservations about it too. but we seriously didn't think those 1000 would go so fast. and seeing as how we're not doing some huge promotion for this (hardly any actually, which is why its been so surprising), i'm sure there are a decent number of Weasel fans out there who aren't going to hear about it until a little later down the line, and i'd still want them to be able to grab one once they do. hopefully these extra 500 will buy a little extra time for those people. if its any consolation you can rest assured that this is it for this version of the release. any future repressings (if any happen) will be totally changed up and will not include the CD.

sweet! i just picked a splatter one up off ebay for $20 (late night bidding rules). looks like i can cancel that interpunk order.

i emailed the dude at the label the other day. he said he had a couple of the splatter ones left, but they were 30 euros each. kinda steep for me. i did pick up a black one off interpunk, though. stoked!
