The difference between good shrimp tacos and meh shrimp tacos, a case study:
-
Those Bongripper look great.
I got my ATW last night but haven't had a chance to sin it yet. I have a few white lps though, and I haven't had any issues with sound, but I've heard several people complain about white as well.
My order for LATD from amazon.ca is still in limbo, and it is still listed "Currently Unavailable". . .not holding my breath, but I'm not going to cancel it either.

Sending $100 to a Gmail address you don't know doesn't seem like a good idea. Among other things about this that don't seem like a good idea that is.
This. Why would they not send money requests to all those people they are sending this email to?

We want to thank you for your encouragement and support as we begin this new chapter of Lovedrug! We’ve been wanting to press Pretend You’re Alive to vinyl for years, but with all of the false promises, bankrupt labels, and ups and downs over the last 13 years, it just never happened. We began this year determined to change that, and although we have yet to reach our goal of 400 pledges, we want you to know how much we appreciate your loyalty and support. That’s why we’re going to go ahead and press enough vinyl for everyone that has already pledged. We’ve put so much time and heart into making the bonus versions of some of our favorite PYA songs and the deluxe version of Notions, and we are so thrilled to share it with you! Thank you so much for your love and support. Because of you, we continue to make and share this music.
Send your $100 pledge to [email protected] via PayPal and we will email you your instant download code for ALL of the material! If you are pledging for multiple copies, please be sure to send $100/per copy so we know how many vinyl and posters to ship out to you. Your limited edition vinyl and poster are being pressed now (It’s typically an 80-day turnaround from the manufacturer) so you will receive them no later than March 2016!
Thank you SO much! Can’t wait to see you at a show soon!
Cheers,
LD

Spliff. David Bowie. Bourbon barrel stout.
Envious.

Adele, Jimmy, and the Roots were amazing as well. Kind made me crush on all of them.

Cockteasin yo!

On a scale of 1 to A+, I give his collection 5 tacos

What better way to memorialize someone who battled substance abuse issues and eventually died from it. Jesus christ.
Too soon?

Am I the only one who feels like this should have been called "The Big Box of House Wine"?
-
De Stijl was the first WS album I picked up

I have never used Amazon and never will but then again I've never ate a big mac. But I prefer other vinyl retailers. It also depends on the type of music your looking for too
*eaten. *you're.

You can get a fairly inexpensive copy of Mauve on amazon (3rd party)
Also, not sure if you saw, but Club AC30 has some copies of Colour Trip on their site.

This record is so damn good. Instrumental doom, so Santa Bateman doesn't have to worry about bad vocals!
I'm gonna have to check that out.

Just to let you know, my copy from Amazon UK (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pure-Mood-VINYL-Ringo-Deathstarr/dp/B015Z1F8LY) at just £12.99 is one of the colour variants (I got minty green)... I didn't get a choice, but for that price I really don't mind either version
Definitely one of the bargains of the year!
Nice, thanks! Love that shipping price.

PO isn't available until tomorrow.
That second song is great too.

I actually quite hate making 'top' anything lists, because I can't make decisions. This list leaves out so many of my favourite musicians and feels so incomplete as far as even touching on enough different styles or moods. The more I think about it, the more I would add and it would get tougher to decide, so I tried to not over-think it (ha!). But every album here I can listen to the shit out of straight through and never get tired of. It is probably a pretty odd list for some of you, but whatever. Oh and I broke the rules because there are 11:
Tool - Lateralus
The Cure - Seventeen Seconds
Faith No More - Real thing
Beatles - White album
NIN - Pretty Hate Machine
Massive Attack - Mezzanine
Led Zeppelin – Houses of the Holy
Tea Party - Edges of Twilight
Pearl Jam - Ten
Dead Can Dance - Toward the Within
Belly - Star

Glad to see this is selling so well. 200 copies in 24 hours is great. Kind of weird that they just up the number of a limited edition like that, but whatever.
Other Men is great - wish they'd press that. I saw that his new band has Heavy Vegetable members, love it!

man I could not get into The Ladies. I am not a Zach Hill fan really and found his spazzy drumming and Crow's somber pop guitar to not really go together. That was almost ten years ago too. Imo there's been some of his greatest work since then
The Ladies are okay, but not my fav. by far.
I also agree - both his solo albums are fantastic. Not to mention the newer Pinback albums. Dude's still on his game.

I would pay $80 to never have to hear an Ace of Base song for the rest of my life.

Honestly lasted much longer than I thought he would. . . so not at all shocking, but still surprising and sad.
Gone, gone, the damage done.
