I checked out their myspace. Possibly the worst thing I've ever heard... but that was pretty funny.

It really does cost us in the States that much to send a record overseas. And that is with no tracking or anything. Tracking is really outrageous overseas. It really sucks but they aren't trying to rip you off. At least the Euro and Pound still holds a lot of weight... Oh yeah, I'm not blaming them really, just that I'll probably be able to get a black copy somewhere more local for less. Usually I get a couple things at once to offset it, but a 2nd LP made shipping $24, which is definitely wrong. Bigcartel issue, I think.

The Satellite has a third chainring on the front so you get more gears (27 vs 18) and it has slightly wider tires (25c vs 23c), so it'll have a bit more versatility and comfort out of the box at the expense of outright speed. The Ventura is aluminium with a carbon fork rather than steel. The Satellite would probably be the better urban run-around while still giving you the option to stretch your legs on a longer run should you wish to. I 3rd or 4th or whatever going to an actual bike shop and asking questions, doing a couple spins 'round the block etc. Invaluable when you're starting out.

$15 intl shipping is too much for me. I'll pick it up from somewhere else eventually. But thrilled these are happening. I think no-frills black suits Lucero records, so no rush.

Watching right now. Been a great run so far this year. Interesting to see how the mountains are going to shake things up.
