I do. It's really nice. Chapter for solid colours, mixes, pic discs etc. Little write-ups of the bands. However, I know J. Bannon and Hydra Head and a couple others were a little put out about not being consulted prior to their art being published. I don't think Taschen cleared it with anyone.

Same. Never made it back to DW, but I still got my DW receipt after a while, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Eventually got through (thank you saved cart). Got PayPal and DW receipts. That was frantic.

I have a fairly high-end set-up. I don't buy white records if I can avoid it, and hazes do need a good clean first, but otherwise you have to really want to hear a difference to find one. I've heard great sounding colour presses and terrible black presses. Well produced music on a professionally pressed record will sound good regardless of colour.

At the top of Audacity you should see two bars for your input levels. Play the record (specifically the record you are about to rip, because levels will vary album to album) and adjust the volume on your receiver and/or the input volume on you computer so they are maxing out close to the top but not clipping - i.e. not leaving the little red line at the end of the bar.

This was the case for me as well when I started getting big into music. Work my way through one label, then maybe a collaborator was signed to someone else; so I'd look at them. My first question when someone suggests a band I haven't heard of is 'what label are they on?' - puts them into perspective, I guess, rather than just another name - a place on the big musical map. However, what I do find is the number of people who know the answer to that question seems to have gone down.

Got the LP on black this morning. Looks and sounds great. Looking forward to the new record big time.

Looks great. Loving that City Safe From Sea record, too. Re: international shipping, though - is it really $12 per record? For one on its own, yes, but each seems wrong if they're together. Otherwise very tempted.

Absolutely great idea (both the site and your using it). I don't take much convincing to buy MB recs, but this will be great to check out artists I don't know.

Customers/members of the public. British thing. To answer the question: yeah, I haven't come across it for records I want yet, but it'd likely put me off the vinyl.
