Look for a Technics SL-1300 through SL-1900. They can be found for ~$100. Great starter table. Edit: spend the extra hundred bucks and get a Music Hall or Rega, or ProJect or whatever.

Dear Lord..... Anyhoo, based on my communique w/ Mr. Lyman, he is legit. Ebay ID: jaxmom is legit. Discogs user: chris31954 is legit. I REALLY hope he does post his side of the story, it was very enlightening.

I just had correspondence with Christopher Lyman and he may be an innocent victim that is just mixed up in all this. He knows Will, but he says that's as far as it goes. I told him to post. Hopefully he does.

And just to give a broader scope of this madness, this Lyman fella was first mentioned in post #24, on November 2, 2010, on the second page of this thread. Only 43 short pages ago............ Good. God. And, he and/or Will Taylor DEFINITELY lurk this board.

From DISCOGS, I'm not sure it this is Will Taylor, but the musical tastes are similar and Christopher Lyman has been mentioned previously in this thread. He bought from me with no problems, yet.
