Infamous Lunchbox reacted to stl_ben in Video Game OSTs v2.0
This you helped each other out. This a great way to do things and something I have even posted I will do.
Each thing at Mondo is sold at different times, so for instance if you want the record it is being sold on Wed. These are one per person 95% of the time, so if you are getting in the line at that time you are there to buy that item. If you can go up and buy a stack (which they do OCCASIONALLY allow) this would make helping other much more possible, but unknown till we get there and find out.

It must be too much of stretch to think anyone here would also already be going to the Mondo booth. That guy who asked is a real monster.

thanks - you won't be disappointed!
the wax seals are definitely here to stay. if you like that sort of thing we also package the tapes on our sister label Granite Tapes the same way: http://granitetapes.bandcamp.com
totally agree, I would buy that in a heartbeat. id love more retro game cassettes in general. sadly, licensing those can be really tricky.
yeah, they went crazy fast! makes sense, though - Disasterpeace put together one hell of a soundtrack (as always). thanks for your support!
ALSO -
if anyone missed out on the tape, here's the label thread:
we actually might have extremely limited back stock (<5 bundles) once we finish packaging and shipping the current orders. they would be announced on our FB or Twitter (@bludhoney) before they go up!

I'm not a cassette guy but this cover looks awesome. Reminds me a lot of the opening scene of The Secret of Monkey Island.

I've had a sudden and unexpected turn of really, really bad luck, and it's left me in an unfortunate position of needing far more money than I have at my immediate disposal. That being said (and I'll post this in the sell thread soon as I sort it all out), if there is anything in the below picture people are interested in, please let me know. I'd go a good chunk below ebay for you guys here. A few I've promised away already, Shatter, Mega Man II, Zelda, humble bundle, but everything else I'll be at reasonable prices on. I'll see you around I guess.

Oh yeah, that reminds me. I ended up with a spare Life is Strange record. I'll give it away on here soon, once i work out how to do it fairly.
(Please don't PM me asking for the record - when I give it away, I want to make sure that everyone has a shot)

If you guys love retro game music, highly recommend grabbing this album before it's gone for good
ElectroRock covers of Kirby songs with some other awesome games spliced in there (Street Fighter, Sonic, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Pokemon, etc.)
It's a gatefold on pink vinyl, only 300 copies total I think.

Super Motherload OST, cheap and awesome, I really recommend it. Been out for over a year, and never seen anybody else with a copy other than myself. Show this disc some love:

Tecmo/Koei owns Ninja Gaiden. Not that I could say, but from past experience I would absolutely not be surprised if they licensed it to Daigle. While a lot of people say/think corporations are sue happy, there are clear examples of game companies licensing unofficial works in the past. For instance Capcom bucked the trend when they sent lawyers to Mega Ran to make sure he was legit and licensed (he sometimes talks about this at concerts), and Capcom also had well known bootleggers of "repro" games, Timewalk Games (now defunct) make their Ducktales HD press kits for sure. I think also had TW make their Mega Man 9 press kit, but I'm not sure. Now, to be fair, that's not common, for sure, but some companies honestly don't care about this sort of behavior. They're the exception, not the rule, obviously, but it does happen. Now, maybe it is Ninja Gaiden, I don't know, but to single that one out seems kind of unlikely, but they did say it was one not sold yet, which rules out all the other bootleg releases from him. So I have to say it's possible.
Also if talking about licensing and previous precedents is too close to talking about bootleg releases, especially as I'm not supporting buying them or linking them, other than simply pointing out other examples of illegitimate titles getting legitimate licensing, then please, Mods, PM me and I'll take this down. This isn't me making a discussion about bootlegging so much as it is how some companies, one in particular, have handled their IP's in the past.
