  1. This definitely a boot. It's a single jacket and sound quality is apparently not so great:
  2. Side note, I love how easy it is to cancel something on Zia. It's literally one button press. Hate to do that to them 😬 but it's a nearly $15 difference
  3. I think that's a consistent manufacturing defect with Third Man Records. I had the same exact issue with Amplifier Worship. I ordered the fanclub white/green eclipse variant off the NYD web store. When I reached out to them about the issue they told me it was a pressing issue. I was able to request a replacement disc, but the whooshing was present on that copy as well to some degree. Shoddy quality control and they have the audacity to lock exclusives behind a subscription service. Here's a snippet of the reply I got from NYD regarding Amplifier Worship: "We showed the video you provided to Boris team, and explained the situation. It seems that it's the result of trouble that occurred during the pressing of the records, and some discs exhibit the noise while others don’t. We still have spare stock of the product, so we would be able to send a replacement. However, there is the possibility that the replacement LP would also exhibit the same noise."
  4. There may yet still be hope. From a comment on discogs: "Apparently, these were never announced on Third Man's social media pages. There were about 600 copies left, but all of a sudden it was pulled from the Vault Store. I'm wondering why Third Man removed it. I didn't think these sold out at all."
  5. Is it really just a small fraction though? While I get that they focus heavily on other products like posters, board games and even figures, the fact that they decided to create a whole sub brand for their records I think speaks to just how big that part of their business has gotten. Although this includes out of print items, they've got nearly 650 items listed on their records page while most other categories are under 200 (not counting posters since for some reason they've omitted out of print items here. I'm sure that number must be very high).
  6. I dunno, I think after the whole Nevermind baby drama people are just assuming she's calling this out for money or clout (at least in the comments a ton of people are jumping to that conclusion). If you look at the tags she used for the post it would suggest she's pretty aware of the band and album. So, maybe she wants a collab?
  7. Just replying in case it wasn't common knowledge, but they will absolutely combine orders for you and refund you the shipping amount so you only have to pay it once.
  8. I don't have an OG to compare to but I always thought the ETR pressing sounded a bit thin. The mid frequencies don't sound as present. At least to my ears, the new reissue sounds like it bumps up the mids more so it sounds more balanced and has a bit more punch. You're right though, it's not a night and day difference.
  9. I'm curious on how it'll sound. The doppelganger reissue sounded much better imo than the ETR pressings. No doubt they'll be tweaking the mix/master for manipulator too.
  10. Honestly, I don't think it's that bad. A different primary color might've been a better choice, but no hate for cornetto.
  11. I've been refreshing the NYD page and their instagram every couple days 😔 Crossed fingers that they announce it soon.
  12. I just got confirmation from the band on instagram that this will use the 4 panel fold-out layout that ETR used on some of their pressings.
  13. Yeah, agreed. I think you're right on that. There were more hints for those 2 releases. Third Man Pressing even had videos of them pressing those variants on their instagram. Booo, that's lame. Although, the opaque jade isn't bad. Thanks for the info. That's what I'm hoping for as well. Shipping costs from NYD increased so much post pandemic. It's practically the cost of a double LP on their site 😓
  14. Ugh, membership. Does anyone know if TMR subscriber variants are locked behind membership for good or if they ever go up for sale to the public down the line? @KaitouG My gut says that's probably the NYD fan club variant. They've usually sold fan club variants a little later than the initial street date. I'd keep a look out on Boris and NYD's instagrams.
  15. SH3 and SH4 via Mondo. I know it's my opinion, but these covers are awful:
  16. According to Nesi they're "remastered from the original tapes by Mika Jussila" who seems to have done some mastering work for them in the past (According to discogs specifically Am Universum by Amorphis and *maybe* Spiritual Instinct). So, honestly you're probably right. I don't imagine it'll sound all that different than other pressings.
  17. @radiatorhums Ye. I didn't expect to see Scenario IV: Dread Dreams. Last I remember the test pressings were rejected and there hasn't been any word on what happened. Pleasantly surpised that it's a 3LP. Scored some Bodom and Igorrr as well and had to double dip on Alcest.
  18. Repress is up for anyone that missed the first round ←Like this idiot Link again: https://orangemilkrecords.bandcamp.com/album/wlfgrl-vinyl
  19. Received my TTL copy and unfortunately it's an utter garbage pressing. Static plays throughout both sides. Cleaning does no good. Wish TTL would start a habit of keeping some replacement copies before putting up their "second batch "after the initial wave of shipping. Contacted them and they can only offer a partial refund or full return/refund boo
  20. And also can't forget the liquid filled carrion soundtrack that Materia was charging $666 for. Oh right, with no guarantee that the record will even still have the liquid by the time it gets to you.
  21. You're right, it was. I was really just commenting on the mocks since you can't really tell them apart. I personally went with the solid yellow since I don't think I own a single variant of that exact color.
