the venue is the most important part, if its at a pretty cool place (which it typically is) it's usually s good time. and as @tvham was saying, they give away stuff almost the entire time while listening to the AOTM/drinking.

I've been twice to events in San Francisco - first one (the Fugees)  seemed like people were there specifically for the event, second time (Gorillaz) seems like it was mainly spillover from happy hour. Both times I won records so I definitely enjoyed it! 

Has anyone here ever been to VMP's The Spins event? It sounds like fun and I'm planning on going next week.

Yeah, got my EPR package in today. None of the ones I got are transparent, but they all look incredible, especially that Crystal City. Those colors are perfection. And the entire packaging on these is top notch, heavy jackets, spot-gloss finish, they really outdid themselves.

My biggest criticism of the album is flow. I don't like the way certain songs are placed, ex. Momentz after Saturnz Barz or Let Me Out after Carnival.  I keep finding myself wanting to re-organize the songs.
 
But I really like Humanz. Even with the lack of Damon, I think it's a strong Gorillaz release with great melodies and a variety of music styles. It could've have been amazing with a touch more refining and focus, but I think as it is now it's still good.

I agree. I wish it was literally ANY other artist doing the box set. Might just go with the Eng on this one.

At least for this release, I totally agree. Plus, with the colors being all the same tone it's hard to make out the details.
I don't really like the sleeve artwork either. The added scratch marks look cheesy and the two tone color theme just isn't catching my interest.

Honestly, that Stout artwork isn't really doing it for me. There's just so much gray.
I much prefer Killian's atmospheric artwork. 

First time I feel like not buying something because of the artwork choice. Which one to buy...

Hooray! Now I just have to worry about it getting eaten up by Qrates' terrible mailers.

I believe no. According to their newsletter, it was a restock on black. Also, I checked the site at noon CET today and didn't see any variant restock.

What would you folks suggest I do to best make my purchase of the SH record as fast as possible? I have to be at work tomorrow, but I'm gonna try to buy it on my phone if I'm able to find the time. I've made an account and added my address information. Can we connect paypal accounts? I'd appreciate any information. I recently started a new job with USPS and I rarely have time to take breaks while trying to learn routes and do deliveries. (I've delivered one record so far and YES I took extra care to keep it safe after the horror stories I've seen on here lol)
