Data Discs just tweeted that they have received OutRun and will start shipping them out next week. And Ship To Shore PhonoCo. just tweeted that they'll do a repress of the Axiom Verge OST on white vinyl which is planned for this Fall.

Finally got the original Zelda 12" to add to the collection.

Hmm. I didn't realize The Last of Us and Phantasm got repressed. I believe some of those mentioned were retail and/or warehouse leftovers (like Oblivion and The Raid) being put up for sale at the store and some are full on represses (JP and SotD). Aside from one off, short run variants (like Alien and Gravity) I actually think most of the represses are for two reasons; sales demand (like JP and SotD) and licensing. If something sells like hotcakes and Mondo has an option to press more records, they'd probably go for it. Ghibli is notoriously hard/expensive/picky about foreign licensing and Mondo made it pretty clear at the time that they were releasing these comps because that's what was made available to them. I'd be pretty surprised if there was ever an option for a repress involved there.

Hmm..It's really just a different mix. It's grittier and more raw. 
In terms of the actual songs themselves though, they're exactly the same.
Not sure that my impressions of the album are really any different.

Sorry if this is a repost. I tried looking for a picture disc thread and it's really hard to sift through sales posts and news.
First question, are they called picture discs or records?
Second, are they worth paying for? I'm looking into buying a few albums on vinyl, but the only options that are available are a picture disc or a bootleg (in this case it's System of A Down - Mezmerize).
My concerns are audio quality and durability. I've heard they have inferior audio quality and that the designs can sometimes "crack". Novelty aside, I would also like to enjoy my records so if these 2 issues are expected, I'm not sure I want to invest in a picture disc release.

I was interested in a buying a record from a certain user but they have more than -500 reputation points. Does this number reflect the user as a seller or just as a forum participant?
 
I did check their feedback on the sell/trade feedback and they have 100% positive feedback with their last transaction being in mid-December 2015.

From the sounds of it, I'm not sure I would want to buy one and would probably just opt for a high quality CD version.
