I’m sure if they were pressing this during normal times, we would have seen a 6LP version with the smaller book included, maybe with the tapes for $200. but I understand why they broke this up like they did. There’s a large swath of ephemera, but to bundle that all together in covid times of production, it would be a bonkers amount and they wouldn’t move as much.

Yeah, my memory is hazy. Discogs back that up, but who really knows. either way if you REALLY want the red, and if you put in minimal effort within a day or 2 after release, I’m sure it’s attainable.

The one caveat is production time is different now than it was in 2017. With OKNOTOK, they saw the demand and upped the pressing amount and thats why they weren't tough to find. this may be all we get because it may be very tough to order a few thousand more in a 2021 vinyl production environment. But yeah, if you can hit a store on release weekend, you'll get it no problem.

Pretty sure the Daily Mail/Staircase tracks are the From The Basement versions. So, yeah, studio versions, but live takes in the studio.

I think it’s a guarantee that the XL 2 LP pressing that came out a couple of years back will sound marginally better.

Oh, no, I think real fans are very enthusiastic about this.

OKNOTOK was different enough. I think my disappointment comes from it leaning heavily on Kid A's artwork, when the Amnesiac packaging/art is by far Radiohead's best album package (I think it even won a grammy). Figure out some combination of the two IMO. But seriously, I'm happy we're gonna get a new Radiohead song today or tomorrow.

Its interesting that that retail set has the track titles that leaked last week, but then todays IG/Tweet has hashtags of other songs titles. Also, that retail art is a bit underwhelming.
