This was just delivered. Sound on the LP is fantastic. Packaging is meh. Telescoping box is nice. All that's inside is a thick soft bound LP sized book. LP and VDs are in the same sleeve. Standard gatefold. LP on one side and the 4 CDs in pockets on the other side. That's kinda lame. I feel like this could have all have been done in a sturdier sleeve rather than a box.

Well not pressed to order per say, but there is a pre order window so I'm guessing they don't place the order until they know how many to make. -

Songs are the same on both pressings. They are just noting that How Much Light and This Is Where We Meet In My Mind are being released for the first time. Wouldn't be surprised if a similar sticker is on the first pressing. In fact its the complete opposite of LAD. Unless that was the joke you were making. -

It doesn't. but its pretty easy to say. "Due to overwhelming demand, We have decided to add a second pressing. So that you don't feel cheated, we are making this one look different so as to distinguish from the first pressing. We wanted to make sure everyone who wanted this could get it" -

Not sure. Looking at the pic on the Firebrand site, it looks like the center labels are different (Blue vs the OP yellow). Also looks like some sticker saying something is on the cover. -

was just delivered. Sounds real good. Volume is on the quieter side, but the sound seems pretty dynamic. Good bass. -

Same. I'm pretty confident I have to be one of the first orders at SSD and MD. So we'll see. -

I've long heard this was true. In fact years ago, I read that white and clear would sometimes be the best sounding records. I really do think it all comes down to the QC of the plant. -
Same

And now ITR is doing red copies?
-
So is the standard version red then?

As long as they sound good, thats fine by me. I suspected it was gonna be thin vinyl and thin sleeves just because thats OLI's thing when it comes to the Bjork releases (that aren't the Deluxe 200g DMM LPs). Thats why I hesitated for a day before ordering. I'm happy I did as long as they sound great. To be honest, her covers are usually the only interesting thing about her packaging anyway. So its not like I need a big book or a tip on heavy duty sleeve for anything.

But I wasn't joking. Its gonna hit retail stores. Your local is your best bet. Will they get 35 copies? probably not. This probably won't be more or less difficult to find than the 7" have been. That being said, don't wait. I'm just saying don't sweat it over the next month. Ignore what its being sold for on ebay. Once copies start being available, those prices will come way down. 2500 is alot, and probably the sweet spot given RA's size (Enough to satisfy die hards, but not too many so retailers are stuck with it for years). -

I wouldn't freak out until it's a couple weeks after release and you can't get it at Retail price.
