It's common, but it's an extremely rare that it's unplayable. I even doubt that it's why your copy unplayable.

With black being the dominant color in pressing plants, you're gonna get the odd pellet falling in and getting melted into different color. I've never been bothered by this. If anything it's kinda neat looking.

That turned out to not be as true as intended. Acoustic Sounds is getting the second pressing (not the first). I imagine that the second pressing may a bit bigger than the first if they opened it to retailers too (as opposed to just paxAm shoppers).

Agreed. I'll probably enjoy it more than Leisure and TGE as well. The other 4 are pretty unfuckwithable so it's got a battle there.

I Broadcast, Spaceman, Too Many and Terracotta are my favorite. The middle of this album is great. I go back and forth on if I like New World Towers, but go Out is easily the weakest track here which says a lot. FLAC is out now you you can upgrade your rips from that transcode.

Remastered from the original analog tapes doesn't guarantee an analog transfer. Just that a new master was made from the tapes. Whether that was direct to vinyl or if a HQ digital version was made and then used for the vinyl may be unknown. All th same, I'd go original UK pressing.

I'd say more often than not anything pressed during vinyl's heyday will sound better than most current pressings. Thats not to say current pressings don't sound good, I just think you are better off tracking down an original pressing as long as its cost effective.

Fixed the Catalog list. New box says 049 on the sleeve, but the records are 054.

I agree, this is a good time for them to start to assemble the box for reissues. I bet we don't see it this year though. Next year for No Code's 20th though.
