  1. I think their POV is, CDs are insanely cheap to make now, why not mimic the LP design even more and make 2 CDs like we have 2 LPs. Win just said that he views the music as 2 halves, so they are making the CD portion reflect that as well. Maybe it does take 2 CDs to contain all the music for this album, but that makes me worry about the quality of the LP version (as compared to the great job they did with the Neon Bible and Suburbs LPs).
  2. The Arcade Fire Store has the Reflektor 12" as well now. Plus a Reflektor shirt.
  3. Pitchfork is saying they did an interview with Zane Lowe saying the album has 2 distinct sides. So maybe thats why.
  4. My guess is that's its on 2 CDs because the vinyl is on 2 LPs and they want to replicate that as much as possible. The last album had the CDs burned from the vinyl master. Maybe they are doing that here and taking it to the next logical step.
  5. Amazon has one and its fucked up. Its basically Disc 1 of the CD box.
  6. Nice that they added the 12" as an add on for the US orders.
  7. I say that because once the album is out, people would be holding onto it only for an instrumental. And I think the demand for that would be relatively small.
  8. Yeah, don't ditch a show for it. If there is a massive demand for these 12", it will drop off significantly once the album is out. You'll be able to get this at face in a month or 2. IF it sells out.
  9. Kinda hope they do the same thing as the last album and master the whole album for vinyl and CDs and Digital are just from the vinyl master.
  10. Yeah, its being reported 2 songs, Reflektor and Reflektor (Instrumental). The track list above are lyrics from the song.
  11. Its possible this is just sleeve art meant to look like a full album by a band called The Reflektors and its just a 2 track single. The track list seems like sections of lyrics.
  12. No one really knows how limited (if at all). My gut tells me probably not given the hype. It seems like a lot of effort to put up that map, have the guerrilla marketing for a month, and to have some sort of release time for 2000 copies of a 12" single.
  13. I'm all right with that. Enough time to think about if I like the album or not.
  14. Weird that some of the tracks rhyme. Could be some of the lyrics.
  15. If this will be anything like the The Suburbs/Month of May White Label 12" that came out about a few months before The Suburbs, it won't be that hard to track down.
  16. I don't regret it. It's a really cool set. Sure it's an inconvenient way to listen to the album, but the format as a whole is pretty inconvenient.
