  1. Thanks for the offer! I'm sure they will list it eventually, will check now and then to see if it's available.
  2. Anybody seen anything for mainland Europe? The Banquet Records page says that shipping to Germany and some other European countries has been suspended due to custom delays. Shipping from the UK to mainland Europe (e.g. Germany) has been a nightmare since Brexit. I've pretty much stopped ordering things from the UK. HHV and JPC don't seem to list Dimensional Bleed yet.
  3. My multicolor splatter double LP arrived yesterday - it's beautiful, one of the prettiest records I own! Pretty heavy vinyl, too. Haven't listened/watched yet...
  4. Preordered the Splatter version! Their recent live releases have been great - can't decide which of the SATH ones is better... Also really looking forward to the documentary.
  5. I received "Here Come the Warm Jets" in the single LP version for Christmas, finally listened to it yesterday. I did not hear any dropouts - it sounded really nice, no surface noise or anything like that. Really happy - now need to get the three other ones...
  6. Just wanted to say that I received my copy of the self-titled debut album (in red vinyl) last week. Haven't listened to it yet, but it looks nice, and the gatefold packaging looks great, too. No sign of The Beyond yet...
  7. The Beyond is great, but yes, the progression from there to Salvation and then SATH and Eternal Kingdom was immense. Still some good songs on The Beyond, and I like the feeling of aggression on that record. The S/T LP I don't like that much, sounds pretty generic to me - I don't remember much of it, even after repeated listens. Still looking forward to having both on vinyl...
  8. Any updates/further details on these single-disc reissues that are released in November? I'm thinking about whether to get the limited 2x45s, or the 1x33s...
  9. Both the S/T debut and The Beyond have just been announced for a vinyl reissue on Earache's website: http://webstore.earache.com/cult-of-luna Cult of Luna: 300 Red, 500 White, unlimited Black The Beyond: 300 Green, 500 Silver, unlimited Black I managed to get the Red/Green - happy! Dedicated thread here:
  10. Missed the gold one, too bad. Ordered a silver one instead (plus the black shirt). Not my favorite CoL album (that's Somewhere Along the Highway), but some really strong tracks on this (Ghost Trail, Following Betulas), looking forward to having that on vinyl. Unrelated to that, CoL just posted a live recording of a cover of 24 Hours (Joy Division) on their YouTube account yesterday - nice one!
  11. And the Roadburn 2016 show that will be included in the set (audio only, though), also was for SATH: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/cult-of-luna/2016/poppodium-013-tilburg-netherlands-23f1fc43.html Looking forward to this release!
  12. Yeah, but that can't be the big announcement, can it? They already posted that concert announcement on their Twitter account, and then after that "2 days". Based on the photos on the these announcements, I guess it's going to be a live album and/or DVD (which would be awesome, BTW). They recently posted a live recording from the SATH Göteborg show from earlier in the year. Pretty decent quality... Looks like the stream has expired, though.
  13. Received mine the other day. I had pre-ordered the white Euro pressing from Amazon.de, but they actually sent me the Bloody Clear pressing - I'm not complaining, as it is more limited, and looks absolutely stunning. I like it more than the Red Eclipse photos posted in this thread. There's a photo on Discogs (not mine): https://www.discogs.com/Neurosis-Fires-Within-Fires/release/9099308 Been listening to the MP3s for the last week (Amazon AutoRip) - still not sure about the album. There's a lot of good stuff on there (Reach!), but it's ... short, just five songs. Would have liked some more variety.
  14. Mine finally arrived today - with a big sticker from German customs. Looks like it's been stuck there for a couple of days. It's beautiful - the triple gatefold, the artwork/print quality and the transparent vinyl looks great! (Incidentally, I was playing the transparent vinyl of the new Brian Eno when the Vertikal package arrived - also highly recommended). Got the same dings in the top left corner of the CoL sleeve, and a double seam split on the third record (the one in the middle pocket) - these seem to be the weak spots of this packaging. When I wrote to Indie Recordings the other day, I got a response on the same day, offering me a replacement if it didn't show up within a week - good service. The records play just fine - completely flat and no surface noise. I just finished listening to side D (Disharmonia, In Awe Of, Passing Through) - simply breathtaking. Now I'm just waiting for a rerelease of Eternal Kingdom...
  15. Nothing yet over here. I've now followed up with Indie Recordings to find out where the package is. I'm still baffled that they don't provide any kind of tracking information in the shipment email...
  16. Did anybody receive their copy in Europe yet? I got a shipping notification on April 19th, but it hasn't arrived yet. No tracking info in the email either. Did it show up for anyone in Europe (or more specifically in Germany) yet?
  17. Listening to the MP3s at the moment - I like it! "Ravedeath, 1972" and "Virgins" are two of my favorite albums of the last couple of years, and this is a step in a different direction. Not sure whether it can beat the other two, but I enjoy it so far.
  18. Regarding the vinyl-only bonus track ("Beyond the Redshift"): I listened to the record (blue speckles!) yesterday, and I'm torn about this track. While it is a real departure from the rest of the album (no vocals, mainly symphonic, hardly any guitars, almost like an ambient track) and therefore would probably be of little interest to most of the listeners, I love tracks like that. So from that perspective, it's probably OK to have it as a vinyl-only track (or on the Japanese CD edition) - if people are in the mood, they can spin side D. Definitely a different beast than the Vertikal CD bonus track "The Flow Reversed"...
  19. Thanks - I'll keep my eyes out for it. Still haven't had a chance to listen to the record yet. I ended up buying the album again on iTunes, so I can listen on my phone. Well, I hope that the band gets to see some of the money at least. The money I've spent on Cult of Luna releases this past month is ridiculous - I hope they benefit from that in some way...
  20. Sorry to hear that, as it is a really strong album. At the moment, I think side C is the strongest, especially "Little Boy" is gorgeous. No crunchy guitars, but they have quite a few melodic bass lines on the album. And the orange vinyl looks great
  21. Got mine yesterday as well - beautiful! A couple of questions for you guys: Since they don't seem to contain digital download codes - do you usually buy them again on iTunes or similar? I haven't had a chance to listen to the vinyl yet, and it might take a couple of days until I have the time. In cases like these, do you buy them again on a digital platform to listen on your phone? Is there a (legal, of course) way to get the vinyl-only bonus track "Beyond the Redshift" in digital form?
  22. Got the shipping notification from amazon.co.uk yesterday (Blue and Green vinyl) - should be here any day now. Excited...
  23. Got my black Salvation and SATH today. Haven't played them yet, but the liner notes are nice, and the photos in SATH are great. Question regarding Earache reissues: They don't contain download codes, right? At least mine didn't. I mean I already have the albums on iTunes, but for someone who doesn't have them yet - isn't it standard these days to include a download code or something like that? Now waiting for my two Mariner vinyl copies (blue and green) and the Vertikal I+II RSD special edition...
  24. Must be the lighting then - looked like gold to me in the photo. BTW: The double vinyl is 33 rpm, right? I wasn't sure since it didn't say anything on the label... Music-wise, it's one of their soundtrack records - I wouldn't compare it to their other non-soundtrack output. It certainly doesn't have any of the grinding or quiet/loud stuff of their earlier releases. My favorite Mogwai records are still CODY, Happy Songs, Mister Beast and The Hawk is Howling. The Special Moves live recording is not bad either.
