  1. I would be completely happy with either a box set or individual. I would buy all except Trouble at the Henhouse anyway, so I would end up with pretty much the same with a box set or not.
  2. Really? I guess you were at the Niagara Falls show. I would lose it if they didn't play Little Bones. They played it in Barrie! I would be the happiest guy in the world to own all albums (except Trouble at the Henhouse) on 2xLP 180g. I don't know why they haven't, since they're in such high demand on ebay.
  3. I did! I was at the Barrie show. I was a little disappointed they played so many new songs and left out classics like Nautical Disaster, Vaccination Scar, Three Pistols, Fiddlers Green, In View, and a ton of other oldies... but overall I had a great time seeing one of my favourite bands for the first time. I really want their albums on vinyl but they all seem to go for over $100 on ebay. I wish they would reissue them all on 180g 2xLP.
  4. Does anybody know what the chances are of any Hip vinyl getting repressed, or currently finding any albums on vinyl? I only own We Are The Same, but I would love to get their other albums.
  5. Awesome!! Thanks so much everyone. I ordered the yellow 2xLP. Also, if anyone is interested in buying from the Nuclear Blast store, they have some great deals on Judas Priest records, Machine Head - The Blackening is on sale, and they have a presage for the new Testament album on 2xLP splatter 180g!
  6. I have a question about the 2xLP version on the European Nuclear Blast site. It says on yellow vinyl ltd 500 copies, but there is no mention of it being 180g. The orange version says 180g, but no mention of how limited it is. Does anybody know if the yellow is 180g, and how limited the orange is? I would rather get the yellow because I like how it looks, but I would rather have 180g so if it is not 180g I will get orange. Thanks!
  7. I really wish I understood this joke, because it sounds pretty funny.
  8. Will be ordering later today! Hopefully they also repress Chaosphere and Nothing.
  9. This will be amazing. There are too many records coming out that I need to buy! Goodbye bank account.
  10. Awesome! Thanks. Do you think there will still be copies of Boys Night Out and Thrice? Or are those almost gone?
  11. Will buy. I love everything that I've heard from this band, including omni.
  12. I don't know if I'd say this is a horrible idea if it's your only way of listening. Although it does kind of defeat the purpose of listening to true analog. I think at this point it might be easier to listen to an iPod or CDs than trying to wirelessly transmit your vinyl signal. You would need to convert the analog signal coming out of the preamp to digital, somehow transmit that, then have a wireless receiver on the other end to plug into your headphone amp or receiver.
  13. Does anybody know when hot topic is getting these, and when they will be released online? I'm doing a large hot topic order (to save on shipping) and I want to wait for this.
  14. I just called Hot Topic customer service to ask about shipping prices to Canada. They said that the price listed on the web site (I think it was $33) is the EXACT price that they get charged from USPS. They claim to be making no money at all on shipping. This must be false, because there are no other online distros charging this much. He said all that he could do is forward my complaint to the department. Maybe if enough people start calling in we can get this changed?
  15. I agree with this. When I used to use my dad's old automatic player, I would leave the record on while I fell asleep since it would turn off on it's own. Other than going to sleep though, there is nothing that I like better about that table than the one I have now.
  16. To anyone looking for the difference between an Ortofon 2M Red and Blue cartridge, I found this pretty interesting. http://www.vinylengine.com/turntable_forum/viewtopic.php?t=35127 http://www.vinylengine.com/turntable_forum/viewtopic.php?t=39259 One major thing that I learned that is interesting: the body of the cartridge on the red/blue is the same, and the body of the bronze/black is also the same. Meaning if you have a red or bronze and want to upgrade to blue or black (respectively), you can just replace the needle. Awesome!
  17. 1. Meshuggah - Koloss 2. Rush - Clockwork Angels
  18. I have heard good things about the Blue, but I have never heard it myself. I am sure that it is a great cartridge. I wish it was easier to listen to audio products before buying. I am sure with most people on here, you have to do a ton of research and choose based off of reviews. I am happy with everything I own, but it would be nice to actually try these products in stores.
  19. I haven't looked much at the rega or music hall, but as far as audio equipment goes, you get what you pay for. If you plan on using this turntable for the rest of your life, I personally find it better to invest in something that will last and provide the most amount of listening enjoyment. There is a reason that some products cost more than others. To give you a quick example, I started with the stock cartridge on my xpression ii and an ART $50 phono preamp. I thought my records sounded like complete garbage, and I found it unlistenable. I upgraded the cartridge to an ortofon bronze, and got a pro-ject tube box ii, and now I rarely listen to any of my CDs.
  20. I'm usually not too big of a fan of 7"s, but I have listened to the Aussie tour 7" probably 10 times already. The cover song, and especially the b side blow my mind. This is a must have for any Alexisonfire fan.
  21. Ooooooh gotcha. I was unaware! I missed the garage sale, so I didn't see what they had. Not sure, not anything that I noticed. I just picked up the Alexisonfire 7", 2 Dallas Green 7"s, and Moneen - The Red Tree. In addition to records from many other booths, of course.
  22. I was probably the 20th person in line and I got a white Aussie 7" for $5. Why does everyone want black so bad? Is it more limited?
  23. The speed box should never change speeds unless you press the button on the front. If turning off the power on your turntable is causing the speed box to switch to 45rpm, I suspect something is wrong with the speed box.
  24. Looks like I'll be going for the aof Aussie 7". Hopefully there are a few of them!
  25. I wish. I couldn't find anyone going them out in Toronto, and their merch line had a huge line the entire night.
