  1. I'd be happy if Me First put out a comprehensive b-sides record. I think I have most of them but some are crappy quality MP3s and I'm sure I'm missing a few. Too many comp tracks.
  2. Why wouldn't Lawrence Arms play the Chicago show?
  3. Man, they look so old in that video. Depressing. The first time I saw them I thought Roger was a girl because of how skinny his legs were.
  4. Is the enormously fat guy going to be in the new band? That guy was huge. I probably saw this band opening for other bands I actually liked about 5 or 6 times. Shit, maybe more.
  5. Derrick Turnbow is a Brewer as well. Let's talk about people who surprisingly WEREN'T on the list: Richie Sexson
  6. Lumberjack Mordam is no longer interested in carrying small labels. They only do exclusive label stuff now.
  7. Too bad that 7" sucks really bad. Someone who went to the show lent my girlfriend a copy. Spun it once, it blew, returned it. Should have "lost" it and sold it.
  8. This guy isn't asking for Wii pros and cons, he wants Xbox game recommendations! Earth Defense Force 2017 (best game ever!) NHL 2K8 (if you like hockey games) Stranglehold (good, wild times if you like shoot-em-ups)
  9. I think Apartment 4 might be the best song on the new record. That or Get Your Head Straight. Classics!
  10. Eric, nope, I've never seen or toured with Towers. That sounds like an interesting story though. In fact, I've only seen Balboa once, despite putting out 4 separate releases for them and hanging out with individual members a few times. That's what happens when bands don't tour very often! The only bands I've never seen, yet done a record for, are both bands who did splits with Balboa....Nitro Mega Prayer(from Japan..toured here once, I had finals and they were only playing east coast dates) and Aussitot Mort (from France, have yet to come here).
  11. They're books about records, basically. I haven't read any yet although I guess I wouldn't mind checking out the Nirvana one(s?). Virgil can definitely get them through Choke (or maybe even direct), but it's a matter of does he want to deal in anything non-vinyl. Tough call.
  12. Nah, every LP is heavy enough to ship media mail. You CAN ship the lighter stuff via media mail, but when it's less than 10 ounces or whatever, it's usually cheaper to use first class. Whoever is working the counter of your post office is full of shit. Ask to speak to the manager, or show them this: http://www.usps.com/rates/media-mail-rates.htm As long as the combined total of length, width, and depth is less than 108" (9 feet), media mail is fine. Hell, I don't think the total surface area of an LP adds up to 9 feet. "Media Mail is used for books, film, manuscripts, printed music, printed test materials, sound recordings, play scripts, printed educational charts, loose-leaf pages and binders consisting of medical information, videotapes, and computer-recorded media like CDs and diskettes. Media Mail cannot contain advertising." LPs are sound recordings, thus they count.
  13. I disagree. I think the new BNO album is the best. So many catchy tunes. I would argue they've gotten progressively better over time. So the one I put out is actually the worst. Haha. If I had my say this is how the breakdown would go on those LPs, I would also press them all in North America. S/T - 180g black, pink, opaque yellow Trainwreck - 180g black, translucent yellow, grey (both LPs same color - I hate when sets don't match) Make Yourself Sick - 180g black, blue, white Broken Bones - 180g black, baby blue (if we repress it in 2008, this is what we're doing probably...)
  14. The site was slow as hell, and for some reason, they sold WAY more than they had. They had to take red vinyl copies back from the band. They limited it to 5 copies per customer (which is insane), and a lot of people actually received 5 copies on red vinyl (which was limited to I think 250? I don't remember). The rest of us received 1 copy, like 2 months later. The whole thing was retarded. I was so angry about it I just flipped it on eBay for $50. Problem solved. Not a very good album anyway. I hate reunions.
  15. In case y'all are interested in checking them out. From Philadelphia, features Craig (Towers) on guitar/vocals, Armando (Balboa) on bass/vocals, Drew (Balboa) on drums. The song on their MySpace page will be on the upcoming 10"+CD coming out in early(think January) 2008 on Forge Again Records. 3 songs, 15 minutes, quality shit. Silkscreened covers, the CD will be a fan disc and will be included with the 10"! First (and maybe only) pressing limited to 400 copies! check em! http://www.myspace.com/elderphiladelphia
  16. Sean Na Na - Dance Til Your Baby is a Man LP test pressing - $.99
  17. I saw like 4 copies of this at Hot Topic last week at the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL. I was there with the family for some holiday shopping. I didn't even bother to look at the price tag. I thought it was weird because I remembered reading a bunch of posts here about how they didn't have any full lengths on vinyl. They had the Cash 7" too, but I already have the square one so I didn't bother spending $5+ tax on it. They had a bunch of other stuff I probably could have flipped on eBay (Say Anything 2xLP on colored vinyl?) if I cared enough to know what the hell it was.
  18. I'm doing one early in 2008. 10" + fan disc CD. It shall be hot.
  19. I heard the best way to avoid this is to not use instant messenger on your phone. AIM can wait until you get home, dude! I think the best time for instant messaging is when you're in class.
  20. That's The Assault. I used to play it using nerf balls/arrows/etc. in my basement when I was like 9 years old.
