You can't repaint plastic-coated fiberboard. It'll look absolutely horrible. If this was made of real wood you could sand it down and stain it, but come on, the shelf is only $100. Sell yours to someone nearby, go buy two matching ones. Those little drawers are pretty hot. I'ma have to buy two of those. I have some LEKMAN boxes now, which I dig. But the drawers are the hotness.

Bands like these make more from commercial licensing than they'll ever make selling records. Also, 10% of the current market for music is RINGTONES.

The front page of http://aardvarkmastering.com/ has all of the information you are looking for. The times aren't exact, as obviously you could go a little higher or lower depending on who is doing the mastering, but they're a good general guideline as to what LPs can hold. I've gone over 20 on an LP twice...once on one side of the Temper Temper LP (which I think is BARELY over 20) and then again on the Dakota/Dakota Shoot in the Dark+ LP. Yes, you could put 16 minutes on each side of a 33 RPM 10" but it'll sound crappy. 16 minutes on the side of a 12" LP would sound great. Also, try telling the band that they have to cut some of the "music" from a record. The only time I've ever successfully done so was for the [potential] Fordirelifesake "Dance.Pretend.Forget.Defend" LP. They agreed that we had to cut that joke hidden track off of the end. I think most of the band hated it anyway. Anyhow, if anyone wants to start a record label, I'm sure Rescue would love for ALL of their stuff to be pressed on vinyl. Or, if anyone wants to pre-order one copy of each release for $2000, I'll gladly press all of it! Hey, I'll throw in a test pressing too! If I'm ever incredibly rich, I plan on releasing everything I've ever done on single sided 13" picture discs with triple gatefold covers made of silk and encrusted in conflict diamonds.

Would anyone actually buy the Temper Temper LP if it was $5? I'd gladly do that through VC to get rid of them. It's a great record, but they broke up immediately after the records came back from the plant. If they were still a band these would be long gone......only 300 on yellow marbled vinyl....nice double fold silk-screened covers. (opens up like a coat).

Maybe Reckless will buy it for $.50.

Justin - I ripped it to my computer first, so eat a dick. Also, I didn't SELL it yet! I'll subtract whatever I get for it from the $20 profit I would have made selling that Me First 7" on eBay. Rescue played their last show back in April or May of this year. Basically, the singer and the rest of the band ended up hating each other. It had a little to do with the van crash, but I won't go into details on that. I wouldn't say they became a jam band, just started playing stuff that was a bit weirder. The songs were certainly longer. Better live than recorded anyway. Also, the last record (Paranoid) wasn't self-released, it was on Suburban Sprawl Music, and I have copies listed above so check it out. Sean (bass) is playing in Child Bite now. Ryan (drums), Cassie (keys/violin) and Juice (guitar) are all playing in The Silent Years. Al (vocals/guitar) is writing solo stuff I guess.
