  1. Yep, this was pressed through United on "mixed" vinyl. Really, all of the stuff that there were only a couple of (orange, translucent turqoise, brown, etc.) went directly to the band and mine and One Day Savior's personal collections... Like mentioned above, last time I pressed on "mixed" vinyl they all ended up purple. When I opened these up the first time I pulled one out and said "ok, it's a blue-greenish color." Then, when I pulled one out randomly to show a friend of mine, it was orange....at which point I decided to go through and pull out the wacky ones. There are about 25 on dark grey. It's probably not exact, as I probably missed a few here and there(although I'm almost positive I snagged all of the orange/brown/etc) Check your local stores...they might very well have the color you're looking for.
  2. I still haven't sent any of mine out yet because I still haven't gotten copies. The were mailed more than 2 weeks ago from Wisconsin to Chicago....hate that USPS.
  3. Haha want to buy an autographed Eddie Vedder Pearl Jam fitted hat? Never worn!
  4. I took one of those Projekt ones home from my parents' store (they own a home theater store) to check it out. Sounded great, but unless you buy the $100 accessory, you have to manually remove the plate and move the belt to switch speeds. That's way too much work.
  5. Great record! Also if anyone has an MP3/CD version of this you could send my way, it'd be appreciated. I bought both versions of the LP but wouldn't mind throwing this (or the first album, which I also only have on LP) on my iPod. Help a brother out and maybe I'll throw some free shit your way.
  6. Trainwreck would have to be a 2xLP. Or, at the very least a 1 1/2xLP.
  7. Indy Boxes is real cheap but they're definitely flimsier. I haven't noticed it making much of a difference/received many complaints as long as stuff is packed in there nicely. I think it's indyboxes.net or just do a search for LP mailer on eBay. Or check out Uline.com or bagsunlimited.com.
  8. 4 months in advance? Wow, so basically, the pre-orders will pay for every single aspect of pressing this record. That's unbelievable. Imagine being able to pay in full to press a record with money from selling that record. It violates the laws of physics!
  9. Adam shipped my copies of the sampler by mounted horseback. I expect them to show up in early 2008. Haha.
  10. I sold a grey one on eBay last year for probably $25
  11. I've used United for nearly every record I've done. They are quick and they've always fixed any minor screw-ups. Recordpressing.com and Piratespress.com are both brokers that manufacture through a company called GZ in the Czech Republic. Some people love all the ridiculous colors that come out of there, others don't. I think the only place in the US that'll do wild vinyl is Erika, and they're easily the most expensive. If you're pressing 200, I'd even suggest trying Musicol. They're rather cheap.
  12. I honestly have never noticed any difference in sound quality based on color. That's just silly. If someone does a controlled scientific experiment that shows any tendency for a certain color to degrade faster or warp easier, etc. then we'll talk. I don't like any of these bands, really, so I'll refrain from voting.
  13. This record was pretty boring. I really only liked the first one.
  14. Drop Doghouse a line. Maybe they have extra covers.
  15. Wait, so you guys are giving him shit for owning too many sweatshirts? I think the problem is that he owns too many $400 sweatshirts.
  16. I saw Mary Lynn Rajskub do stand-up last night. She's not on the show until season 3.
  17. A luddite wouldn't use the computer to express themselves. They'd write a letter to everyone and send it via horseback.
  18. Ahh shit, sorry, they TOTALLY jacked those things up in price. When I bought mine like 2 years ago it was only $99 for the 4x4
  19. I'm pretty indifferent. I dislike the really ridiculous color stuff. It can look cool on occasion, but usually doesn't make much sense. I just like sharp layouts, and splatters typically aren't too sharp.
