  1. This many people like this band? 2000 copies in the second pressing? I had no idea. Nice work though. The whole layout looks amazing. I haven't heard this EP though.
  2. Adam and I already have a deal where we'll just win each other's test pressings and sell them on eBay and split the money. Sorry guys! just kidding!
  3. Oh come on, they ALL probably have brown spots.
  4. Maybe it's just me, but are those things practically impossible to pull out of the sleeve? I managed to get one out, but it took me about 5 minutes to get it out without damaging the sleeve. This is why records are round.
  5. I have a copy of the Ergs/Lemuria split if you're looking for it.
  6. Which one do you have, the white Longest Line or the purple Duh?
  7. It was a joke. Obviously it'd be financially and logistically difficult to press that many records at once. Plus, you'd pretty much guarantee that the plant would screw something up. Something tells me the Epitaph catalog would cost considerably more than the Ferret catalog.
  8. If you pressed 1000 of every record in the catalog, the plant would have to give you a volume discount right? You'd have to get a mortgage or two on your house to do it all at once, and probably buy a second house to store all of the records once they were done. Those pressing numbers are reasonable for sure.
  9. I also like when the vinyl matches the record itself. I also like when labels limit the number of colors per pressing to, say, 2.
  10. He's a completist, but doesn't want labels to put out 10 versions of a record, because then he doesn't have to buy as many. Makes sense to me. Also, maybe he prefers solid colors to wacky stuff?
  11. The last 2 Knapsack albums are very good. I could do without all the old stuff though. Silver Sweepstakes had a few decent songs, but the 7"s are weak for the most part. I was bored out of my mind every time I saw The Jealous Sound play live, but I do like the album and EP they put out. Too bad those Knapsack LPs are near-impossible to find anywhere. Even if you wanted to spend the $, they're just not out there. I'm sure they're sitting in $1 bins in crappy record stores all over the world though.
  12. Haha Virgil, don't sweat it dude, I'm sure Carl didn't mention it to you. Let's definitely talk turkey when you're here though. I know you're not a man who would block the cock.
  13. Well, maybe that's why licensing the Boys Night Out LPs to Forge Again/One Day Savior wasn't "in the best interest of the catalog." Although I'd really rather not see these records on 10 different splatter/half and half/etc. vinyl color configurations, I suppose I'd be happy if they just came out at all. I had some pretty cool ideas for how to do the records. Any chance of a sub-license? On the plus side, this could save me many thousands of dollars and many hours of time. I don't own any Ferret releases at all except for the Boys Night Out stuff, the first Misery Signals record that they gave me when I was on tour with them, and the first Suicide Note full length. The Boys Night Out LPs are really the only releases of theirs I would ever listen to.
  14. Those are some of the last remaining copies of Hewhocorrupts - The Discographer 2xLP. And for those of you who care, they look like this:
  15. I bought two of each, hoping I might be able to trade one of them for the Dolly 7" and possibly the Lagwagon LP respectively. I apparently didn't catch the release date on those. Total price to Chicago was $36 w/shipping for 2 copies of the 7" and 2 of the NOFX LP.
  16. A Camp - Song for the Leftovers CD single -Nina Persson (The Cardigans) solo project w/some help from Nathan Larsson(Shudder to Think). I bought the full length and the first single from the album many years ago, and had no idea this even existed until a random eBay search. Very glad I found it, because not only is the version of the single completely different (and better, I might add), but there are two unreleased songs and a different version of yet another song. Realistically, I'll rip it to my computer and never listen to the actual CD again, but if I hadn't won this thing, I might never have heard these songs. A+, would buy again!
  17. You guys are losing focus here. Mr. Brett cruises around (probably in a brand new BMW convertible) listening to Panic! at the Disco.
  18. The records aren't actually in stock at VC yet, so you can probably cancel your order if that's the only reason you wanted it. No big deal. I'm sure someone else would be glad to get one.
  19. Agreed. I am really happy with how that split turned out. I'm down to 5 copies for mailorder through the label, and then whatever VC has left in stock. I have 2 copies on black, 1 on grey, and 2 of the grey tour/mailorder exclusive edition if anyone wants em.
  20. Well, I have bad news and good news. The bad news is that it's not out of 12. Upon further investigation, the actual number was probably more like 25. I went through the last batch of LPs I have, and I found 13 more copies on the dark grey color. So really, I'm guessing there are just about 13 fewer of the light grey. I sent 10 of these copies to VC. The good news is that 25 is still a pretty damn small number, and really, almost all of the colors are going to be out of print very soon. We are down to about 40 total copies of this pressing, mostly on light grey vinyl. I think I have a couple of the dark grey and a couple green left for mailorders, but I sent almost all of the dark grey copies I found to VC. After that they're all just light grey. Sorry for any confusion. I meant to change that this weekend after I went through them, but this was posted before I could. Hopefully it's not a problem, since it's still pretty limited and it's still a good record!
