  1. Good stuff, though I guarantee you guys wouldn't let me win the contest. Haha. Also want the flexi but not another copy of SFS (or a subscription to Decibel...haha)
  2. Good man. You'll be happy with it. I promise. Final shirt order just went in (we ordered more than initial pre-orders for the stragglers) and we're picking everything up this weekend to start shipping as soon as Monday (!)
  3. I like Dinosaur Jr. plenty, but a live album recorded in 2011 of songs from an album released almost 25 years ago is definitely not worth $25 plus shipping because it's on a different color of vinyl. This is just nuts.
  4. That's a mockup made using a stock photo. Shirts aren't even printed yet. They're being printed this week by Progress of Design, who do excellent work.
  5. Hahaha, pretty sure nobody is gonna fall for that one.
  6. Bump - should have said members of Sum 41 in the title.
  7. Haha it's going to be very confusing that we put up a pre-order for OLD GODS and OLD GHOSTS on the same day. GODS VS GHOSTS 4 EVA
  8. 5 is a typo. Good catch! Haha. EDIT: fixed it!
  9. Inspired by The Jesus Lizard, obscure horror movies, and Mudgie's Deli, OLD GODS have pulled together an almost entirely live-recorded introductory self-titled EP. Consisting of Jeff Tuttle (Dillinger Escape Plan, Heads Will Roll), Randall Kupfer (The Armed), Tony Wolski (The Armed), and Derek Swanson (Heads Will Roll, 7000 Dying Rats), OLD GODS is a crushing union of Detroit punk veterans. This record runs the gamut from loud, heavy riffs drenched in feedback and aggression to spaced-out noisy freak-outs…drenched in feedback and aggression. Raw and urgent music at its finest. The first pressing of the LP is limited to 530 copies on red vinyl with a silk-screened B-side, full color jackets and inserts, and a high quality DL code. Stream the entire record for free right now on Bandcamp. You can order the LP here. Also, check out some awesome live shit of theirs on their YouTube Channel Or check them out on Facebook or Twitter

  11. You'd lose your shirts selling 5 2xLPs for $28 ppd. each? Does not compute.
  12. Lots of shit going on these days. Will probably post more BS when the pre-orders/orders/whatever actually go up, but here is some stuff on the news front. *OLD GODS* We are proud to announce that we'll be releasing the debut EP from Detroit's OLD GODS. A fantastic new-ish band that our buddies in CHILD BITE turned us on to. Fantastic riff-based hardcore. Their self-titled EP will be on a 1-sided 12" LP on red vinyl with a silk-screened B-side and will include full color jackets and inserts. You can stream their EP now at their Bandcamp page. http://oldgods.bandcamp.com or you can visit ours at http://forgeagainrecords.bandcamp.com to hear the fully mastered version. The official release date will be June 12, 2012, but we'll be putting up a pre-order (along with a special package that includes an exclusive shirt) shortly that'll allow you to get the LP way before the official release. Due to a broken hand and some scheduling conflicts (touring with other bands, children being born, intestinal issues), we're not sure when an official release show will take place but I'd imagine it'll happen in the Detroit metro area at some point this summer. *DESTROY THIS PLACE/HOSPITAL GARDEN* We are also pumped to announce a brand new split 7" from Detroit's DESTROY THIS PLACE and Chicago's(by way of Dayton, OH) HOSPITAL GARDEN. Two bands that definitely bring us back to the glory days of the early 90s indie alt rock scene. The split 7" will feature two songs from each band. You can stream one song from each right now at http://forgeagainrecords.bandcamp.com or you can listen to recent full lengths from each band at their respective Bandcamps - http://destroythisplace.bandcamp.com or http://hospitalgarden.bandcamp.com The official release date for this slab will also be June 12, 2012. We'll be throwing two record release shows with both bands (and more to be announced) to celebrate. The first will be Friday, June 8th at Cole's Bar in Chicago, IL. The second will be Saturday, June 9th at Berkley Front in Berkley, MI. Full details on those soon! *CHILD BITE* We blew through the first pressing of the CHILD BITE / DOPE BODY split LP before 2011 was over. Repress took a little bit, but we now have copies of this killer split back in stock. Second pressing is on plain old clear vinyl with the same insane 4-color silk-screened A-side. We flipped two of the colors so it's a bit different but still looks fucking nuts. Shawn is a beast. Speaking of which, CHILD BITE also has a brand new 10" EP out on Joyful Noise Recordings called Monomania. This is easily one of the most insane-looking records you'll ever see. You can order copies of both (including a special package deal) by visiting http://forgeagainrecords.com/cbdb.php *DOPE BODY* Obviously aside from the repress of the split, DOPE BODY has a lot going on these days as well. They have a brand new full length coming this May from Drag City. They'll be touring all summer. Those dates will be up as soon as we have them. *DISTRO STUFF* We recently added a buttload of awesome stuff to the distro. Not only did we get a couple copies of the aforementioned CHILD BITE Monomania 10", but we got a box from our buddies at Adagio 830 with copies of the brand new Aussitot Mort 12" (remember their split with Balboa? That shit ruled) as well as a repress of the Indian Summer discography LP, the Indian Summer s/t 1-sided LP (reissue of their classic s/t 7" with awesome silk-screened b-side), and the Ordination of Aaron discography 2xLP all nice and cheap. We also have ton of records we recently added from State of Mind Recordings. We don't have very many copies of any of these so get them while you can. *TOUR DATES* CHILD BITE 4.27.12 Chicago, IL @ Quenchers's w/Football 5.12.12 Grand Rapids, MI @ The Pyramid Scheme w/The Meatmen DESTROY THIS PLACE 6.08.12 Chicago, IL @ Cole's Bar w/Hospital Garden 6.09.12 Berkley, MI @ Berkley Front w/Hospital Garden DOPE BODY 4.23.12 Baltimore, MD @ The Bank w/ Holly Hunt & Scraping Teeth 4.27.12 Baltimore, MD @ Golden West w/ Quintron HOSPITAL GARDEN 4.27.12 South Bend, IN @ House Show w/The Rutabega, Ratboy, Cash Back 6.08.12 Chicago, IL @ Cole's Bar w/Destroy This Place 6.09.12 Berkley, MI @ Berkley Front w/Destroy This Place *MORE STUFF* We're very excited about all of the awesome new stuff we have coming out. Help pay for all that stuff by ordering some of the old stuff! Running pretty low on copies of a lot of awesome records including CHILD BITE "The Living Breathing Organ Summer", HERO OF A HUNDRED FIGHTS "The Remote, The Cold", ELDER "REFLECT" and 31 KNOTS "IT WAS HIGH TIME TO ESCAPE." Don't forget you can stream (and DL in most cases) pretty much the ENTIRE Forge Again Records catalog absolutely free at our Bandcamp page. http://forgeagainrecords.bandcamp.com Stay tuned for more updates on those pre-orders and an announcement about a release coming this fall that we're super excited about. It's going to be quite TIGHT. Thanks buds.
  13. Just talked to Shawn from CB. He said they have some leftover "parts" from the covers. If you have one that got F'd up, drop him a line. Just email him with a picture of the rip and what # you have (in case it's a part that needs re-numbering) so he knows what to send. [email protected]
  14. If you're looking for newer stuff, stay home. It's pretty much all lame-o record dealer types. Not very many Chicago-based labels bother with it these days. If you are looking for older stuff, you might find some good shit.
  15. I had done this in years' past but it's too expensive for a table and not worth the hassle for all the casual yuppies or whatever who come in with their kids just to kill a few hours. I did, however, get the first two Veruca Salt LPs from Minty Fresh for $10 a pop a few years ago. Now THAT was worth it.
  16. Bumping this for my dudes in CB. I don't give a shit if you buy this from me or from Joyful Noise or from whoever. This band deserves the support no matter where you buy it.
  17. Really? They're repressing it because of that? I'd just demand a kickback or something and keep it that way. Waste of resources otherwise. But whatever. I guess you don't want people crying about it. Definitely use that discount code and get Child Bite's MONOMANIA 10". Already a steal at $10 (the packaging is fucking nuts), you can get it for 20% off.....gotta do it.
  18. Quack owns Wild Feast too so that's pretty unlikely as well (and Exquisite Luxury but that's just a remix record anyway). Also, those songs are so old I doubt there's much demand for it. They don't play any of it any longer. Hell they barely play anything off TLBOS at this point with all the hot new cuts. That sucks that JNR isn't shipping the records outside of the print. I'll mention it to Karl this week. I still have 3 Monomanias as well as plenty of Dope Body splits and TLBOS LPs if anyone wants to get up on that package deal while they still can.
