Yea, since Phantom Limb this band doesn't play grindcore anymore. They've become one of these metal bands that don't fit in a single genre. Super unpopular opinion: Book Burner is their best album. The album that transcended Scott Hull into a God. A masterclass in riffing.

I love this album and all but it leaves me a bitter taste after every time I listen to it (which have been about a million). I finally concluded it's the order of the songs. It's all messed up. I would start the album with Reptilian, not end it. And I would end it with Trigger/The Dusk in Us/Thousands Miles Between Us in that order. But what do I know. It's just my view. Don't shoot me.

All of the colored variants are colours of the rainbow. Maybe if that blue was a pink it would have been spot-on.

I got the yellow. I wanted the green, but that one, of course, has to be the tour exclusive. Well, that's my luck.

I listened to it a few times and it's definitely a good record. Buuuuuuut I'm still slightly disappointed. It's a good rock album but you expect more from this band. It feels a bit one-dimensional and it lacks variety, I think. And it doesn't really leave you satisfied by the end. People are going to compare to Era Vulgaris for sure. It has few instant-classics like 'Hideway' and the last track, but some other songs like the 'The Evil Has Landed' and 'Domesticated Animals' sound like Them Crooked Vultures songs. Mark Ronson is going to receive so much hate. I can already see it.

Oooh the packaging is shiny. Neat!
