I was following One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, and Berserk for a long time (no internet at home now). Berserk is amazing, the artwork is totally stunning. I just wish he made enough money to have more assistants to publish it more frequently. That might detract from the artwork though. I also really like Tsutomo Nihei, that guy is another amazing artist.

I had a girl break up with me so she could get back together with her ex who beat the shit out of her. He also threatened me one night when he came over to her house and kept shouting, "Whose pants are that on the floor?" I'll let you guys in on a secret...they were my pants.

Rent about a hundred Wiis, TVs, four remotes per Wii and let them bowl to their heart's content. Karaoke? Dance floor? ...Strippers?

Yeah, the box they came in was awesome, but isn't that a bit expensive for a smaller label?

Sorry to hear it, I broke up with my gf of four years in October, and in retrospect, it was definitely a good thing. The first month really sucked, but then (after I'd moved out...) I just started doing all the things I'd been meaning to do for years. Like learn guitar, start a band, learn how to skateboard, build a kegerator. You'll be alright, just give it time. And realize the first chick you hook up with is a rebound. You might say she's not, but it still is. Trust me.

If it was near the Arboretum, it was Wingra. That's a fun ride too. Did you move here after the winter? This last winter was bad news, three feet of snow is a bit much. I wish I knew of some good shows coming up. There's Riot Fest in Chicago and Summer Fest in Milwaukee, not sure if I'm going to either yet. I've only found one site that lists shows, and its never updated. There aren't any really dedicated punk venues either. If I hear of any shows, I'll let you know.

Just got my copies yesterday, they look and sound great. mrc, I saw you got yours yesterday too, you must have ordered even earlier than I did.

I've lived in Madison for almost three years now, you can't beat the number of bike trails here. You can ride around either lake pretty easily too. I knew a guy who used to bike across the lake when it was frozen, he said the only thing he couldn't do was turn (cause you'd fall over).

Bought some old U2 records off eBay for a buck each, and some Johnny Cash stuff. I love picking up four or five records for a dollar apiece from one person, with combined shipping they're still only a couple bucks each and usually in pretty decent shape.

I still have the cartridge for this badboy, but no console. I borrowed it from a friend in middle school something like 15 years ago. Whoops.

Wow...emphysema at 24 is ridiculous. It takes decades of cigarettes to do that, from what I understand. I actually don't know if I buy that explanation, unless other drugs are way more destructive than tobacco. Also, appealing to drug dealers' moral side might not be the most effective route to help her. Rehab's an option too.

I'd definitely pick up the Souls documentary, and probably a couple of the other things mentioned. I say go for it.

Yeah, I really like these guys and this record, but this is a little nuts. I like my red copy just fine. Kudos to anyone collecting variants though, you're a bigger (richer) collector than me.

Ha! $23! Who's the big spender now? Seriously though, you're going to get a lot for this. If I was above the poverty line, I'd probably go for it.

If you're really curious, you could borrow a balance from a friend. Like, a nerdy friend into cooking who (like me) actually bought a digital scale. I have used it for my records and 160g is about what a heavy, but not an advertised 180g record, feels like.

I'm definitely going to pick up those splits, but I think I PO'd everything I want already... Lots of good stuff coming up though.
