Hey Yu, I wouldn't worry about teaching university student vs. high school students too much. At least in the US, high school kids are less likely to pay attention, and university students might have better questions. I think if you come across with them like you do with us on the boards (i.e. as a nice guy), you'll do great. Also, I think the smaller age difference is a good thing, because you're going to be easier to relate to than someone who's 20 years older and hasn't actually worked in the field like your students want to. I'm interested in teaching too, so I'd like to know how it goes for you. Good luck!

I'm going to preface this by saying that I'm not trying to be an asshole or judge anyone for their drinking habits, I certainly don't refrain myself. You should stop drinking, at least for a while. If you can't sleep without it, you're drinking too much. If you get the shakes (I don't think you said you do, but just saying), you definitely need to stop. I think I remember you saying you started pretty young, which is another bad sign. Beyond any other reason, if you're worried about how much you drink, you should stop. Again, I don't want to be critical or get up on a soapbox. The best thing for your health, to give your liver and the rest of your body time to recover, is to stop drinking.

You could drink less. If you're worried about it, that might be a sign to cut back.

Yeah... I'm in med school and I'm planning on getting a half-sleeve in a couple months. People tell me its stupid, but have you ever seen a doc you took seriously in a collared shirt with short sleeves? Me neither. I have a buddy who does small construction jobs as a private contractor and he wears a kilt every day. Really nice guy, a bit nuts though. He's never had any problems, but probably because he's a freaking perfectionist about what he builds. My point being, I wouldn't worry about it.
