When's the last time an Apple product flopped? Several times in the 80's (one of which was very similar to tablet based systems). Besides, just because a company is running on a series of successful products doesn't mean they're flop proof. As for this piece, I haven't really looked it over so I can't say but the likelihood of it flopping is slim. Apple still has the extreme cult of personality and it would take several poor products to shake that.

Really? They announced the signing on July 01. As for being disappointed, they paid for and recorded the new album on their own before they even had a label interested. FBR talked to them about it and said they'd love to put it out and they would be their only signing this year. The band got P+P to do the vinyl and FBR to do the general release (bringing Vinnie and FBR back together, which must take some effort). Overall it's a pretty good move on their part.

I would disagree about a couple of the threads. We know Virgil doesn't like to have leaked material on the board and I feel posting about a leaked album simply leads to, "OMG send me a link", which isn't the purpose of this board. Also, the thread about the kid bitching about VC had served its purpose. He got mad, was told to contact Virgil for a resolution. The rest of the, "What's acceptable record packing?", "Andy stuck his dick in my order" was just sidebar on the original issue. I would go so far as to say almost any, "How do I contact VC", "How do I get a refund?", etc. should all be locked as they're answered 100 times over already.

Ah...Well, I'm glad I don't really follow that site. All message boards are off putting when I first see them. Honestly, if I came to vinyl collective today (instead of when I first did nearly two years ago) I probably wouldn't want to come back. It takes time in a community to enjoy it (that's true of any message board or whatever) and you either need to join at the right time or be at a point in your life where you're willing to take the time to become acclimated to a certain community. Being that I'm old as shit, I tend not to be willing to invest my time in many new social circles. So yeah, I can see why VLV might not enjoy VC and vice versa. The point is, remember that VC is more than one video of one dude playing a record and VLV is more than just dudes making troll comments.

Sooo...Since I'm basically cleaning house, can someone explain to me what the hell all this VLV stuff is? I know the site but don't really check it. I know all vinyl based sites consider themselves to be better and everyone else to be stupid but is there some instance in particular that is being referenced?
