breaking your glasses at a show
islington replied to jcamps's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Many years ago when Alkaline Trio came out our way they had some local bands open up, the first being Taking Back Sunday. When TBS came on the entire crowd rushed forward knocking my brothers glasses off. When the pit opened up there they were in two pieces. When he got them back the lenses were ok but we had to tape them together with electrical tape. -
X-ray tech. Not a bad job. I'm full time but only work three and a half days a week. Plus I see all kinds of crazy things.

There's always money in the banana stand

Lucille: How's my son? Doctor: He's going to be all right. Lindsay Funke: Finally some good news from this guy. George Michael Bluth: There's no other way to take that. Doctor: That's a great attitude. I got to tell you, if I was getting this news, I don't know that I'd take it this well. Lucille: But you said he was all right. Doctor: Yes, he's lost his left hand. So he's going to be "all right." Lucille: [Jumping on the doctor] You son of a bitch! I hate this doctor! -

TEST PRESS BIDDING ON VINYL COLLECTIVE
islington replied to visitorq's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I guess he was confused because it says this when you click on a Test Press in the store: "You are bidding on a limited edition Test Pressing. Test pressings are produced in small quantities to evaluate the quality of the disc production. They usually bear only white labels housed in a white dust sleeve. These are usually the most limited variant of a particular record as only 5 to 20 copies are produced. Our test pressings are hand-numbered and hand-written (Artist and Title). We are often asked by record collectors if we would be willing to sell particular test pressings. On special occasions and during the holidays, we post a few on Ebay all starting at 99 cents. Some of these test pressings are highly sought after so some of the auctions may get competitive. We wish you good luck on bidding." -
The waters of mars episode was great. I can't wait to see how End of Time ends! I'm don't want to see David Tennant go but i guess it had to happen sooner or later.

The Brand New Christmas E.P that they sold to fanclub members a few years back. The demos on it were good but the money it got me when i sold it was better! Also this cause i grew up on them:

Seconded. My favorite part is when Beaker is a roided out bouncer and he goes to throw Kermit out of the bar and Kermit says "Beaker your arms look swollen"

"Who is the human on your shirt?"...
islington replied to jhulud's topic in Everything Else Message Board
I have the Brand New shirt with someone throwing a rose into a grave and an old lady comes up to me and says "Bless you child" and i was like ok I guess old people like Brand New too. Then she says "not many people walk around with a picture of the virgin Mary on their shirt". -
Digital Music Global Trends
islington replied to melikecheese's topic in Everything Else Message Board
So only like 2% of Americans use P2P to download music? Is this because it's based on only 4,651 adults? This poll seemed to use very small samplings to gather its information. Plus they polled 3x as many Europeans as Americans unless I'm reading the chart wrong. -
I've had two and neither one hurt. The pain leading up to the root canal was worse than anything the dentist did. Sitting in the chair for an hour was the worst part.
