so i never got the 2nd box. I filed a paypal claim, but since he gave them a tracking number, they found in his favor and closed the claim. I can appeal it, and show what i bought, how much it should have weighed, etc. To prove that he didnt send all the stuff. So i gotta fax over the legal paperwork for the claim appeal. It sucks, he was responding to me before, and was in communication, but now he hasnt responded at all, and wont get back to me.

Scott. The bands are fun, and they are local. Im trying to release and support as much local music as possible. Granted, i did a '77 style punk comp, the next release in a couple weeks is a grind release, and the one after that is dirty lo-fi punk rock. This one sort of sticks out as a little different, but hopefully ill do a whole variety of stuff from locals i wanna support. marc - no on the jill 7". i DID get a sore loser / narcissistic freds split 7" in used the other day. First one in all my years of buying used records. This split is a little different from other stuff im putting out. Both bands are from the Houston / Austin area. Im terrible at descriptions, but i guess since its my release i kind of have to. Fingers Crossed plays pop punk. Catchy and upbeat. Not so much the new style of pop punk with the breakdowns and mosh parts. They have covered a Saves The Day song almost every time they have played in the store, if that gives you an idea of who they are heavily influenced by. Probably one of the most "fun" bands ive seen play in a long time. On the flip side is Chemistry. A little softer on the pop punk side but with a 90s indie/emo feel to it. 4.50 for a 7" is exciting/clearance enough to make a thread about? also, much of those LPs were recently in the rev sale when things like fairweather, face the panic, the faint, etc were on sale for 4 or 5 bucks.

last album was terrible enough to make me forget about this band completely. until now. i might check this out if i remember about them in a few months when its out.

i think thats the point though. OBVIOUSLY those things ate into the profit margin. But his point was that if you are a company that is pulling in a million dollars in a year, and you are walking away with nothing (with less than nothing actually.......in the hole with a huge negative balance), then by all accounts, you are fucking up somewhere. Just because your company makes a million in a year does NOT mean that you are a millionaire, by any means. But it does mean that your company should be able to not go into debt over 50 and 100 dollar (or even 500-1000) payments here and there.

i completely disagree. The people who spent the 1K did so willingly and took a chance that didnt pan out. You dont get refunds when you make an investment in a company that goes bankrupt a few months later. If you are stupid enough to invest in a sinking ship, and you lose your money, thats your own fault. Thats a far different story than taking peoples merchandise and promising to pay for it, and then essentially stealing it all. Or not following through on contracts/agreements, etc.
