  1. Order one of each LP. I don't need all three colors of each record like some. The rarest will do me just fine.
  2. I full back your opinions. I feel most of the people on this board are new to vinyl collecting (ie, the past year or so) and are more concerned with tracking down the 8 color variations of a RE-RELEASED record than stopping and thinking about supporting local vinyl stores and business ethics. Also, not many on this board can take ANY negative criticism, even in it's purest, most constructive form and that's sad.
  3. I have to work so I was wondering if someone on the board could help me out. Just curious if someone could order me a copy of the new Cruel Hand and Ruiner LP's. I'll pay you when you get the records. Of course I want the most limited versions. Just send me a picture when you get them in the mail and I'll send you the cash and then you can send me the records. If someone is down PM me right away. Please?
  4. I had the e-mail ready to go and just had to paste the address in the box, still I doubt I got one.
  5. I got mine in the mail yesterday. It was the color version but between the red and black there is a strip of brown. Really weird, kinda cool looking. Just wondering if anyone else got one like this.
  6. I talked to him the other day, here is the response I got: "Hey Triston, I'm really sorry. We're incredibly backed up on orders right now but getting them out the door as quickly as possible. Should be there soon! Again, super duper insanely sorry for the delay!"
  7. Pay pal is down. Way to pick a good time to do maintenance. Stupid motherfuckers!!
  8. I know and someone was telling me that Daryl described it as being really influenced by Orchid.....it doesn't even sound like it though. Like, they would have been better off saying it's a hardcore band....cause it is, kinda. But it's not Ebullition style hardcore, or grindcore, or powerviolence. MAYBE if they likened it to later Gravity records style hardcore, MAYBE that would be an apt description. Titles and labels are whatever, take them for what they are worth but I just found it misleading and not very accurate at all and I just don't want people who maybe aren't familiar with grindcore to pick up this release because they love thursday and think this shit is grindcore, cause it's not.
  9. I was sicking of hearing people describe it, hype it up to death, and name drop the shit out of the album before it was even avaliable to listen to. I wanted to give it a fair chance and listen to it, plus I work at a record store so I get stuff for 30 percent off. It only cost me 7 or 8 bucks. I don't hate the record, it's just the sound has been described really poorly by pretty much everyone.
  10. That's exactly what I thought. To me it sounded like Thursday gone hardcore, with the occasional blast beat. I never liked Thursday to begin with but I do like Daryl's past endevors, that's why I picked it up. I hope the 7" on DW is a lot better.
  11. So I'm going to rant.....because I just have to get this off my chest. So I picked up the United Nations cd the other day at my work. I was sick of people, namely those in the band, talking about this album. I gave it an honest listen and.....it's not bad. But it's been described by the band and almost every outlet selling it as "grindcore" Are you fucking kidding me? Maybe there are some blast beats but I would hardly call it grindcore. Why?? Well Geoff pretty much sings in the whole album and anyone who listens to grindcore knows that shit just doesn't fly. Grindcore is all about fast guitar, faster drums, and guttural screams. Not singing and sure as fuck not accoustic guitar. I'm not hating on this album, I'm just hoping kids don't pick this up as there first introduction to "grindcore" and start a million and one shitty bands that sound like this and call it grindcore. Cause it's not. It's not the peaceville or Earache back catalogues, sorry. I mean if you're looking for good (if there is such thing) modern grindcore for fucks sake check out 625, Six Weeks, or Torture garden. Like I said, the album isn't bad, but it's not that good either.
  12. Don't worry landmanmj, over half of these miscreants don't ever interact with girls anyways. Too busy posting on this message board to know that sleeping on the couch is the best thing to do when in the dog house.
  13. It might not be the RAREST in numbers but tell me if you know anyone who has a first pressing of Pay to cum? Yeah, not many. I'll post pictures for any haters out there.
  14. If anyone AT ALL has any of these on color I neeeed them badly. I'm a huge, huge fan and just realized that this is one band I don't have anything by. Color versions only please. I will pay good money for them. I especially want Symptoms.... Thanks-T
  15. Not since 2001, but I know the feeling. I was going to make a separate thread for what I'm about to say but it may be overkill. I am very, very impressed with Deathwish Inc. as a label, its roster, and the people who work/run the operation. I grew up with and around hardcore and metal music. It has always been a part of my life. But for the last 3-4 years I have been listening to it less and less mainly because I started to find it boring. Mostly in the sense that there were no new bands that really appealed to me and it was all starting to sound the same. I joined VC over a year ago and have started to listen to a lot more bands than before and checked out new music. During this time I started to check out DW and some of the bands on its roster. I have to honestly say that this experience w/ DW so far has revitalized my love for hardcore and aggressive music. DW is solid and I'm really into some of the bands on it: Blacklisted, Killing The Dream, Narrows, and Bitter End. /cheesy, emotional LJ entry. No, I totally feel you on this one. I mean, for the most part all the records I purchase are of the hardcore variety cause to me that is the best way to listen to hardcore, but to be honest I'm spinning my Smiths and Love and Rockets LP's more than my hardcore stuff. Still, DW kills it every time, all the time. I think for sure one of the few important hardcore labels of "our" time, along with Rivalry, No way, and Painkiller. Big ups to putting out quality each and every time.
  16. I'll give you 125 for it. I neeeeeeed it badly. Please

  19. Good luck finding either of those. I have a copy of LP II but the first LP is hard to find.
  20. God I'd kill for one of those on green. Toast said he might be able to work something out so I'm crossing my fingers!!!
  21. I feel you on this one. I was at sound and fury and I told whoever was working the DW booth that I was SOOO pumped that you guys decided to go to another pressing plant. The records look a lot better, not that the look of the vinyl is really that important, it's about the music after all, but I am happier with the release for sure.
  22. 'hahha...woops. yeah I'll send a new one out, by chance were you going to order a Signal Corps LP? Yeah, probably. Maybe you can just stuff it in that record? I'll let you know when I order, cool?
