  1. Not yet, he's in Detroit in a week. But, I saw him last November, and it was definitely an experience.
  2. Fallow is out of print, both the G-7 pressing (which has a black label) and the Sub City one (which has a tan label). However, Grand Hotel van Cleef still has the Euro pressing in it's store.
  3. Wait...so, the Lawrence Arms and the Popes are playing in two different cities on New Year's Eve?...Who's drumming for the Popes? Because, if it's Rob Kellenberger, my mind's made up.
  4. So, I sold some CDs on Ebay a month ago, and one of the buyer's didn't pay. I sent two invoices, and numerous messages with no replies back. So, yesterday, I opened a dispute. He responded today with: "I am NOT BUYING THIS PRODUCT. Thank you." Now, are disputes worth going through? Am I going to get my money, or is he just going to get his account suspended? I could give two shits if his account gets suspended. Thanks.
  5. Is there any difference between this Weakerthans reissue and the original press?
  6. i'll be there in a maritime shirt, working my way up to the front.
  7. Anybody else ever ordered anything from Sick Wreckords? They're based out of Germany. Great, great distro. Lots of cool shit. I ordered two records from them (including my white whale, Aloha's "That's Your Fire") and paid last Wednesday. They arrived at my house yesterday. Extremely well shipped. The guys who runs it's name is Ingo, and he responds to questions fast. The website's a bit hard to search for stuff through, and there's a minimum 10 Euro charge for international orders, but my total ended up being 29.50 Euros for two records plus shipping, and with how fast they got here, I was amazed. Check them out if you're interested: http://www.sickwreckords.de/
  8. I'll be there, and drinking...anybody want to join in my trying to get Chris to play "The Nautical Mile"?
  9. Sorry for your loss. I'll be going to the show, I can pick you up a copy.
  10. "Hey you know what? I could call my ma while I'm up here. HEY MAW, GET OFF THE DANG ROOF!"
  11. I might go. The Corktown is sweet. Great sound, nice people. My band played there a couple of weeks ago with Superdot (which apparently was only was exciting to me), and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was my first time being there.
  12. soooooooo many. a few personal favorites: "I can't see through metal, Kent!" Kent Brockman: Scientists say they're also less attractive physically and while we speak in a well-educated manner, they tend to use low-brow expressions like 'oh yeah?' and 'come'ere a minute.' Homer: Oh yeah? They think they're better than us, huh? Bart! Com'ere a minute. Bart: You com'ere a minute. Homer: Oh yeah? "They may say she died from a burst ventricle, but I know she died of a broken heart."
  13. 2000...I kid you not, the Detroit date of this tour is still one of my favorite concerts ever. Everything about it was perfect.
  14. The Lawrence Arms/None More Black/Colossal in 2003...I never got to see Colossal. I drove up to Flint once to see them and Whale|Horse, but neither band ended up playing, total bummer. The Plea for Peace 2002? with Common Rider/The Lawrence Arms/and other that I don't want to name, because it depresses me.
  15. They're also on a Bad Taste Records compilation seven inch, "A Festival Crammed With Bad Taste"...but I'll be goddamned if I've ever actually seen a copy of it.
  16. Oh, holy shit! Me too. I seriously laughed uncontrollably when that came on the TV screen.
  17. Ordered. I can't wait for this. "We are fast moving motherfuckers..." would be awesome to hear on vinyl. I also kind of wish that the "Dark is the path" remix CD would find it's way on to vinyl. I like some of those a little better than the album versions (note: that album was still one of my favorites of 2007). People should definitely check these folks out.
  18. Dude, get seriously fucking stoked...I talked with Sarah for a bit after they played in Chicago this weekend, and she said that Vincent is going to be playing the Metro show with them, and that they were going to try and play a ton of old shit. She also gave me a free shot glass. MBD are good people. And if they play "Intergalactic Menopause", I'll be able to die happy.
