  1. Picked these up today, couldn't resist: Sinkane - Color Voice 180g white 224/500 This Machine Kills/JR Ewing split 12" yellow w/ orange marble and screen-printed b-side Does anyone have any info about the TMK/JRE split? I can't find any sort of pressing info about it.
  2. Elliott Smith - self-titled Been wanting this on vinyl for awhile, for some reason figured it was OOP and expensive. On a whim I checked eBay and ended up winning it for $5.75 after shipping.

  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/THRICE-THE-ALCHEMY-INDEX-10-COLOR-VINYL-BOX-SET-lp-7-/400134522188?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item5d29e0454c $100 more than the cheapest BIN for the same thing.
  5. Haven't seen any news on it being pressed on vinyl, I'd like to know too. One guy has Minus the Herd on vinyl for sale through Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0013N4CFM/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new). I'd get it if I weren't so poor.
  6. Listen to Apostrophe (') and Over-Nite Sensation. Two of his best and two of his most accessible.
  7. In the 80's, my dad was moving around a lot so he had to sell almost half of his collection over time, both because of how much space records take up and how heavy they get.
  8. Well there is "sound garden", but they only sell new vinyl (small selection) and a crap load of used CDs and DVDs, but no used vinyl. Your best bet for Syracuse is the basement of the book store, if your looking for any used classic rock, 80's metal, etc. The last true record store in town I remember was "knuckle Heads", but that closed down when I was about 12, so 13 years ago or so. From what I've heard there is a record store in Ithaca, and I know there is one in Pulaski, but its small, plus their both out of the way if your planning on staying on the thruway. If your interested, here is the book store with the basement with about 15k used records. http://www.booksmemories.com/ This town really needs a true record store. I live in Ithaca, and for a long time Volume Records was the place to go, but now they're in two (or maybe more) clothes stores. Their selection and prices aren't bad, but the place you want to go is Angry Mom Records, in the basement of Autumn Leaves. They get a lot of new releases (was there today and saw a copy of High Violet for $19) and are generally awesome.
  9. Regardless of whether or not the buyer is in the wrong, there's rarely ever a reason to call them a "f@ckoff."
  10. I think you dropped more than "some" cash...
  11. The album is over an hour long, so it wouldn't make any sense to have it a single LP.
  12. The only Norma Jean album I really know (and love) is Redeemer. Will check this out, as well as revisit Bless the Martyr.
  13. I don't know Thursday much at all, but I'd pay $7 for a sealed record.
  14. Finally got my VC order (which I believe came in exactly three months): The A.K.A's (Are Everywhere) - White Doves and Smoking Guns Potshot - 'Til I Die Anchor Arms - Milligrams Heavy Hearted - s/t (purple marble) Portgual. The Man - It's Complicated Being a Wizard
  15. " Everyone's favorite corporate grindcore band - weird ass release (more details soon)" !!! Loooooove them.
  16. The Catalyst - "Swallow Your Teeth" iApeshit! - "Cavalier Activity" 7"
  17. I love Lightning Bolt so much. I wish they'd come closer than a five-hour drive for me.
  18. http://cgi.ebay.com/White-Stripes-Lafayette-Blues-7-RARE-Jack-Dead-Weather-/370398064403?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item563d71ef13 White Stripes fans have too much money.
  19. No Idea is great if you're willing to wait. Most of their own records are $8, as well as a ton of distro records. Chances are if they have it, that's the cheapest you'll find it.
  20. Over the past few months its gone from anywhere from 48-154. Usually close to ~75-80. I was expecting at least $80, probably more because it's sealed.
  21. No shrink wrap. I've bent too many corners being too eager to get it off.
  22. Brutal Truth is awesome. They have a box set of 5", 6", 7", 8", and 9" records (http://cgi.ebay.com/Brutal-Truth-need-control-BOX-SET-grind-spazz-sob-/200487837591?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash =item2eae019f97)
  23. Just found Poison the Well's "The Opposite of December" at the thrift store. I've gotten some great CDs there, including everything that I have by the Roots.
