Received the coloured box from Amazon and its a nice set, also (probably unintended) the latest LP fits nicely in the box! A stupidly good deal if you didn't already have every album! Sold my copy of the 1st LP and selling my standalone coloured version of Dog Man Star so its a steal.

As per a posting on FB SFA grrod by Kliph (SFA archivist): "Just a head’s up: this is in no way authorized or approved by SFA. Music On Vinyl is a legitimate label and do license things properly (and do good work when given good sources to work from), but the band were unaware of the existence of this before someone tweeted Gruff a couple of hours ago. I called BMG, who also knew nothing about it and are annoyed as they’re planning to a proper deluxified remaster/reissue when the time comes. BMG are working on tracking down who licensed it (must have been someone at Sony) and what their sources are for this reissue. Best case scenario, the original plates from 2001 still exist and were used, but those were done at CD resolution (44.1/16) and not from the original tapes, as the reissue BMG are planning will be, so buy at your own risk." Given the locked grove 7" and side 3 playing inside out its probably a good bet the the original plates are being used. I'll be getting both this and the "more legit" copy anyways.

Anyone know of any US retails that will be stocking this that do online orders & don't charge stupid amounts to ship to the UK? Held off ordering from AK due to shipping & now they say it will only be available to US retailers.

Cool, have emailed them A reissue of the album proper is coming at some point from Castleface (its listed as forthcoming on a booklet sent with their last lp and has a catalog number assigned). So interesting to see what this is, could be just alt versions and demos without the original album.

Yep Martin Pike confirmed on their forum they have been remastered by same source as the Switched On releases so seems all part of the same "campaign". Didn't need to get them but I thought I'd go for them to get them all on clear. The reissue campaign has started me trying to fill in some of my gaps on the singles/ep side. Just added the Instant 0 3x7" box and the 10" for Ping Pong & Cybeles Reverie

If anyone missed out on the SFA at the BBC 4LP boxset they have just announced that a 2nd edition of 500 copies will be pressed due to the demand and will be available in stores (they said stores across the UK in their announcement so you might want to check if any US stores can import it or order online).

Given their current track record on reissues I wouldn't put much hope in a regular edition of the 3LP, at least not for a couple of years. 100th Window seems to have been 'announced' at least 3 or 4 times over the last couple of years and never appears, Heligoland only shows up as the expensive version after many false starts.

The bootlegs are worthless and destruction of them ain't gonna be a sad sight. Plenty of legit copies to go round for all now. If there was anyone I need to spread the gospel to I'll give them a copy of Poly, got enough of them to last.
