  1. Holy shit, Mulligan Stu! I saw that band like every week growing up, they're from my hometown.
  2. Not counting local shows, I think my first real "punk show" was Warped Tour '97 in Chicago, followed up a few months later by Ten Foot Pole/Guttermouth/Apocalypse Hoboken/One Hit Wonder at a local skatepark. That was the first time I learned about the "rollerbladers are gay" phenomenon, as Guttermouth were drawing a huge picture on a piece of plywood of a rollerblader getting double-teamed by two beefy dudes. It was a pretty scandalous thing to see at 15.
  3. Anything written by Dan pre-Vagrant. Also, all of Goddamnit.
  4. wouldn't be suprised that madison flexi was limited to 1,000 How much do you think that thing is worth? I probably haven't played it since I first got it a decade ago.
  5. Holy shit, that JTB looks so good. Game on.
  6. You know, in some cultures, this is called marriage.
  7. Channels was disappointing to me, personally. Anyone listen to Report Suspicious Activity, J Robbins' hardcore band with Vic Bondi?
  8. Does he have their split flexi 10" with Mulligan Stu, Boris The Sprinkler and the Sonic Dolls? Because I've never seen another one of those anywhere besides the one I own.
  9. Picked up Silverstein - Arrivals & Departures LP on blue tonight -- was going to get some Comeback Kid vinyl, too, but they didn't have any with them. Bummer. Anyone know the Silverstein pressing info?
  10. I wish I could share but the band wrote me a note on fast food napkin and put it on my refrigerator telling me I absolutely cannot share it. And seeing as how I'm trying to make Maura Davis fall in love with me, I'm going to do whatever she says.
  11. Now that's a hell of a show. I've seen all those bands many times but never together (well, I did see BVS and TFOT on the same show once opening for Fear Before, but still). Gatsbys need to get their shit together and fast. They have played two shows since their last record came out one year ago.
  12. Rise Against played that tonight. Tim also played Jawbreaker's "Tour Song" acoustic in the encore.
  13. so underrated. only a canadian could come up with that. We're doing a comedians special later this year and I have been lobbying hard to include Mel Silverback but to no avail -- no one else at work finds him funny. It's so sad, working with people who have no senses of humor.
  14. Yeah, it's got some great live footage. I only got to see them once (and it was before I was familiar with them), so the DVD allows me to really get into their live show.
  15. Wait, Jared Leto (ugh) and the dude from Aiden wore eyeliner on our Taste of Chaos cover, I think. But everyone else has been makeup-free this year: Motion City Soundtrack, Fall Out Boy, Circa Survive, Cute Is What We Aim For, Saosin, the Academy Is..., the Used (well there was makeup there but it's because they were zombies) and the Warped Tour montages.
  16. How do you know I wasn't dissing Explosions In The Sky? It's not like they ever wrote a song as instantly memorable as "Punk Rock Academy."
  17. For real. And I'm a Fatty McFatFat, ensuring that their biggest size is still not big enough for me (something this Pelican shirt once again proves).
  18. How is the new AWS??? i have heard that it rips rather hard. please confirm, so i can dream about how good it will be tonight. damn it, now ill have to go find it and download it off the interweb tonight. but dont worry i will buy the real album. It hasn't leaked yet, to the best of my knowledge. It's pretty fucking shred-tastic -- much more Propagandhi-esque than previous record, and less overtly melodic/catchy, but the hooks are still there. The new bassist is a fucking MONSTER.
  19. Death Cab For Cutie - All Is Full Of Love
