  1. Serious? Those went fast, there were definitely 4-5 copies there when I bought mine on Saturday.
  2. So if I spend $1,000, my order is free!
  3. I was so disappointed in this band -- I loved the direction the Anniversary went on Your Majesty, but two albums of half-baked country later tell me that this dude's totally lost his spark. Justin's new "band," White Flight, is even worse. It's just weird noise and field recordings.
  4. I post news this good and my karma drops from 8 to 5? Man, this board can be brutal!
  5. The band just sent out a myspace bulletin: ....And the Battle Begun on Vinyl yes it is going to the presses to be made sweet 12" vinyl records coming soon.....
  6. Yeah, media mail is pretty much the only downside to No Idea -- shit takes FOREVER to get out of those goddamn swamps. I've been waiting on an order for two weeks.
  7. I'd rather have the Blackpool Lights record on vinyl than any of the New Ams records. (BPL is Jim from TGUK's newish band, and they blow the New Ams out of the water.)
  8. If you click on any of them to get details, they all say "We only have one of these, and it is from Sean's personal stock."
  9. As I learned on this board, test pressings are actually the best quality of a record you'll ever get -- they're the first ones cut and the ones which all other records are duplicated from. So these are actually the best-sounding records you can get.
  10. ^Great Northern Mall in North Olmstead.
  11. In case anyone here is a huge Coalesce fan and has a shit-ton of money to blow, they're selling some test pressings of their old records in their online store: http://www.bluecollardistro.com/coalesce/categories.php?cPath=32_399
  12. Just a tip for anybody who does this you will get arrested as this happened to me when I was like 17. So I would not encourage doing this. Brian Well, I'm sort of proof that you won't get arrested, aren't I? It might not have worked, but there was no law enforcement involved.
  13. The one I went to had roughly a half-dozen copies (well, minus one now).
  14. It's completely arbitrary on the year thing, but as for the "going out on their best record" thing, I stand by that. Earlier in my life, I was interested in getting Alkaline Trio, Hot Water Music and Weezer tattoos. Then all three bands put out subpar records, which convinced me not to do it.
  15. Heads up to anyone who wants to pull a little scam: I went to my local Hot Topic today to pick this up, and saw that they were having a big CD sale where virtually every title is marked down to either $13.99 or $9.99. As I browsed the CD racks with my $26.99(!) double LP in my hands, I got the bright idea of peeling one of the $9.99 orange sale stickers off a CD and slapping it on the corner of the record. Then, the ultimate stroke of luck: When I went to check out, my friend who works there showed up! We started talking as I stood at the counter, waiting for her to ring it up. Then, the gods frowned on me: She was actually on her lunch break and couldn't ring me up, so she called over her manager to handle the transaction, who immediately said, "This definitely isn't $9.99, some kid must've been fucking with the sale stickers." I tried a half-hearted objection ("Well, technically, that's the price advertised, can't you just give it to me for that?") but she was having none of it. But had it not been for that manager, I am 100% convinced that my friend or any other low-level minimum-wage employee there would've rung it up for the sale price. I encourage all of you to go give it a shot, as well (maybe try peeling off one of the $13.99 sale stickers, as that's slightly less obvious).
  16. I was out at a Cleveland-area Hot Topic today and no Falcon vinyl.
  17. Why exactly would it matter how long they've been broken up? I mean, its good to have some solid reasoning behind getting band tattoos, otherwise you wind up getting stupid shit like an MXPX tattoo in high school (as mentioned before). However, I can't really understand your rules. They're just personal rules, dude. You don't have to understand them. I don't have any tattoos, anyway.
  18. Alkaline Trio - Remains 2xLP on mustard
  19. I don't count one-off reunions, but I do count full-fledged reunion tours, especially if they end up producing new material.
  20. My rule for band tattoos is this: 1. The band have to be broken up for at least 10 years 2. The band have to have broken up after releasing their best album So currently, Jawbreaker qualifies. Next year, Refused will qualify, too.
  21. Okay, so pretty much every record I've listened to now has a pop happening on every rotation, no matter how new the record is. Is this the stylus being worn down or the counterweight being too light and actually bouncing off the record with each rotation?
