  1. Yup, third pressing of TAYF (and first in an actual sleeve).
  2. Both my Vinyl Collective and No Idea orders came in. So stoked.
  3. Ha! We gave this away in the first issue I ever worked on. It's back from when "American Idiot" came out, right? I remember plugging the contest in the cover story.
  4. I can get down with that. Consider yourself exalted!
  5. You know both of those dancers just quit, right? The band's down to a three-piece.
  6. I don't think so; they just replaced all of it. Ambulette actually stayed at my house a few months ago when they were on tour with the New Trust (who I've known for years); we all played Guitar Hero until like 3am but I don't think Maura said more than three words to me the whole time. She is completely socially inept (not being said as a criticism; just pointing it out).
  7. Well, according to stevenontheradio's new post in the "Recent Purchases" thread, it's also available on black.
  8. This Thursday, the Rentals, Modest Mouse AND Less Than Jake are all playing here, and I am torn on which to go to. I already have tickets to Modest Mouse, but I'm thinking about dumping them for one of the other two bands...
  9. My VC order showed up! Got all four Minus The Bear variations, plus Against Me's "Reinventing..." on coke-bottle. And to Zach and Joey: Thanks for that extra-special handwritten note. You guys are peaches.
  10. If you liked Denali, you should definitely check out Ambulette -- it's Maura's new full-time band (Glos is more of a one-off project). It's pretty much where Denali would've ended up: http://myspace.com/ambulette
  11. If it gets released, you'll most likely be able to find info about it here: http://www.becausesoundmatters.com/ That's Warner Bros.' new vinyl site. They're kind of slow on updating it, but judging by what they've been releasing on vinyl already, I bet the RK record gets the vinyl treatment.
  12. Riverfenix (later Fenix TX) autographed self-titled CD: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150150948876
  13. Wait, so black is first press and gold is re-press? That's odd... You can still grab the black from merchnow.com for only $9.50.
  14. Because they weren't all that popular or even well-known, especially outside of the midwest, when they were aroudn. They were a thrash/grind band from the Chicago area back in the mid-to-late '90s, and only lasted a few years; their members (of which there were many, over the course of their short career) spawned Das Oath, Holy Molar, MK Ultra, Los Crudos, etc.
  15. I listen to this often and enjoy it. Thanks! I try to play a lot of stuff that the average AP reader might not ever come across otherwise, so hopefully it's helping expose kids to some great bands.
  16. From the latest Lovitt Records newsletter: For those who don't know, Glös is Keeley Davis (Engine Down/Sparta/Denali), Cornbread Compton (Engine Down/Heavens/Biology) and Maura Davis (Denali/Ambulette). It is freaking awesome, and I can't wait to get it on vinyl.
  17. i very like A Wilhelm Scream...their both albums on Nitro are amazing and their new song is rad too. and Big D the latest album already available.... Yeah, I just picked up "Strictly Rude" by Big D on vinyl, but I'm hoping "How It Goes" (their 2004 album) gets the treatment someday, too. And the new AWS album is rad as shit, too.
  18. Bottom right hand corner, back cover. It's a sticker, so if your LP is missing the shrink wrap, it could potentially have been peeled off, I guess Yeah, it came without shrink wrap originally; it's never had a number as long as I've owned it. Thanks for the info, though!
  19. mute math does exist on vinyl, i think. on some tv talk show, the host held up a copy of it. plus, i've seen it on smartpunk or something before Ah, right you are! http://www.zambooie.com/stores/Detail.tpl?cart=118686223912311907&st_id=180&sku=MMVINYL100 $25 is too rich for my blood right now, though.
  20. Question: Where is the number on yours? Because for the life of me, I can't find one on mine and I don't think it is numbered.
  21. They need to be somewhere online, not on your computer. Set up a free photobucket or flickr account.
  22. I don't get why this is a sad song. It always makes me nostalgic and wistful, but not sad. The lyrics are just about people enjoying life. Why is it sad for you?
  23. Let's make it a contest! Winner gets $50 to Vinyl Collective. Not from me, though.
  24. Here's some random ones that just popped into my head: A Wilhelm Scream - Mute Print Big D And The Kids Table - How It Goes Mute Math - Mute Math The Forecast - In The Shadow Of Two Gunmen Andrew W.K. - The Wolf
