  1. I like Klosterman's writing quite a bit, own most of his books and enjoyed that review, but am I the only one finding his style a bit smug lately? He just comes across as so pleased with himself for being so clever.
  2. hahahaha, not upset in the slightest. Well played.
  3. Long story short: I live with a total cunt. Totally selfish, self centered...I could go on. Lately I've been thinking of how I could anonymously, systematically introduce more grief into her life. Remember that part in "Amelie" where the cute titular character breaks into that store keeper's house and undoes his life because he was mean and deserved it? Sort of like that, only switch the genders around and make them roomies. Has anyone ever done this, or have any ideas on how one could effectively fuck someone's life up? The only caveat is that it has to be something that would be hard/impossible to trace back to me, as I crave vengeance, but fear retribution. I'm thinking along the lines of unorthodox toothbrush activities, laxatives, ect. Any ideas? Thanks lads.
  4. It justs bums me out when someone I respect does things that I don't respect. Maybe it's silly to hold a musician to a standard, but I can't really help it. It's like hearing Chuck Ragan was contributing screams to the new Brokencyde record. It's a bummer.
  5. Patrick Swayze was not THAT old. Jeez, you guys.
  6. How are they ever going to find another guy who can sing like that?
  7. I just noticed, the exchange between Stark and Rhodes in the court room is priceless (after the actor change and everything). "I didn't expect to see you here" "Look, it's me, I'm here, deal with it...let's move on." *Tony glances directly at audience for a split second* Yu - Thor is next for Marvel Studios. Then Captain America, then Avengers. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0800369/
  8. Holy crap, that looks awesome. Whiplash, War Machine and Black Widow all look incredible. I had read a little review of the footage shown at SDCC, but I had hoped it would leak out. Thanks for posting that!
  9. "I'm unarmed!! I have no guns on my stomach, back or chest!!" classic.
  10. The first mash-up I ever heard that I was really impressed with was this one a few years ago... Particularly impressive is that it was done live, by mixing records, and not on someone's laptop.
  11. Last time I saw that Sugar Ray guy, he was a correspondent on some entertainment show like "Extra" or something, and he looked like a wax version of himself that had melted a little.
  12. Uh, yeah... It combines the action of arm wrestling with the drama of a child custody battle, and in the end once he's arm wrestled a man for the custody of his child, they drive off in an 18 wheeler. so... /thread
  13. I heard that those little cars totally destroy the records you play with them. They're pretty neat though.
  14. I absolutely love this movie, and I think it's Kevin Smiths best (though I celebrate his entire catalog, minus Jersey Girl). I'd advise those of you that like it to never see it with a crowd. I had an interesting experience earlier this year with that. A local theatre here had "Kevin Smith Fest" over 3 nights where they played all the "Askewneverse" movies, and he did a Q&A after each one. It was a lot of fun, but Chasing Amy was a bummer, because any time there was a tense, serious, or heartfelt moment in the movie, stupid motherfuckers would start laughing. It's like they only showed up for "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and their brains just couldn't handle anything that wasn't about weed or dicks. It was so frustrating and sort of ruined the experience.
  15. Kind of brutal, but I only spent about 10 minutes on it, with using a track pad (not a mouse). MSPaint is really limiting. hehe
  16. I think you may be mistaken about their rareness. I worked at a record store (not hot topic) when they came out and we had them on the shelves for months. (Unless the ones you have are the "zombie" chase versions, which are legitimately rare, and I stand corrected) Either way, keeping them in packages = suffocating them. However, Umbrella Academy is a surprisingly good series.
  17. I didn't think the second part lived up to the hilarity of the first, but it definitely made it more obvious who he's parodying with the whole tour bit.
  18. an oldie but a goodie. It's chock full of what-the-fuck moments. The shower scene is my personal favorite.
  19. Sweet collection, However, only dweebs leave toys in their packages. Just sayin'
  20. I think I may have strep throat for about the 8 or 9th time.
  21. Ya know...Just when I thought he couldn't be anymore of a talentless attention whore. It's stuff like this that makes me realize some people just have loose wires in their head. 99% of people would think impersonating a celebrity at their own funeral is a bad idea and at least slightly distasteful. Corey Feldman hears that idea and goes, "Man this is gonna be bigger than Lost Boys 2!" In fairness to Corey Feldman (...I'm never going to be able to begin a sentence like THAT again...) I think that was one of Michael Jackson's "things". If you look back, a lot of the kids he rolled with dressed like him. I know Corey Feldman did that in the past, as did Maculay Culkin, and that Jordie Chandler kid, who was the first one to accuse him of molestation. Corey Feldman probably saw it as a tribute. Grief does weird shit to people.
