  1. She's not the hottest lady in the world, but to be fair, thats a pretty terrible picture of her. ...and she knows a lot about comic books!
  2. He served me a Rum n Coke in Hamilton like 2 years ago at a bar he was tending. I recognized him but didn't say anything. I think he sensed the glimmer of recognition. It was an awkward exchange. So yeah, needless to say, he could probably use the money.
  3. I really enjoy that show as well, but Lipton is by far the worst part of it. He's so in love with himself, and always tries to make the interview about him, or throw off some reference to his wife and the quirks of their relationship. It's fucking irritating.
  4. RoadMonkey - I'm not seeing it because I saw the first one and was thoroughly disappointed. Mostly as a result of Michael Bay's shitty directing. I wanted to see the aforementioned fighting robots, but dude kept all his shots in such extreme closeup that everything just looked like a tornado going through a garbage dump, rather than 2 robots fighting or turning into a car or whatever. Dante - Agreed in full. Being a "Popcorn" movie and being a "Good" movie aren't mutually exclusive.
  5. I haven't seen it and don't plan to, but it's getting absolutely brutal reviews on everywhere from rotten tomatoes to ain't it cool to roger ebert. I think it's sitting at 21% on RottenTomatoes.
  6. Matthew Broderick is ALWAYS the "ahh! I don't know whats happening!" guy.
  7. My parents have a bird that can learn phrases, and I taught him to say "You killed my father, prepare to die". True story.
  8. Ok, I'll bite, here's my faves (not including anything by MFATGG): Get-Up Kids - Close to Me (Cure) NOFX - Vincent (Don McLean) (Specifically the B-sides album version with Spike doing Harmonies) Hot Water Music - Radio (Alkaline Trio) (ditto to those who said they like a better than the original) Dresden Dolls - War Pigs (Black Sabbath) A Perfect Circle - The Nurse Who Loved Me (Failure) Iron and Wine - Such Great Heights (Postal Service) Mutato Muzika Orchestra - Hey Jude (Beatles) The Vines - Ms. Jackson (Outkast) Grade - Panama (Van Halen) H2O - It was a Good Day (Ice Cube) Lifetime - New England (Billy Bragg) Affinity - My Name is Jonas (Weezer) Bad Astronaut - Linoleum (NOFX) Reggie and the Full Effect - Reign in Blood (Slayer)
  9. In fairness, I think most tattoo artists would refuse to do a face tattoo on an 18 year old girl, but to say the girl wasn't cognizant of getting her face tattooed is ridiculous. The stars look pretty uniform, so there would have been a stencil involved, and she would have been acutely aware every step of the way what was happening. Not only that, but it's a total rip of the stars that Kat Von D has next to her eye. Lame.
  10. http://twitter.com/suburbanhome edit: d'oh! beat me to it.
  11. ...and then pretending to be his sister.
  12. I'd rather have my dick torn off by a pack of rabid dogs, smashed with a hammer till it was paper thin and then worn as a swim cap by a nazi, than have it anywhere near Avril Lavigne.
  13. According to Tom's blog, they kicked him out. His Mexican restaurant sounds pretty awesome though. They're going to clean up this October when the Fest rolls around.
  14. Someone once told me I was "like a cartoon character". Not any specific cartoon character, just a cartoon character in general, which I think is way better than being specific. That was awesome. Oh, and "I didn't think I was going to be able to fit it in my mouth" is another fave.
  15. I think that's just trying to let you know: If your going to go with a girl with small boobs, chances are she has a huge cock to make up for it.
  16. I wonder if this coffee makes you cry like a bitch about things that happened 20 years prior.
  17. I can't believe I watched that whole thing. I'm not usually one to condone violence, but these guys really really need an ass kicking. If nothing else but to put their stupid lives into perspective.
  18. I hate to say it but I kind of agree that the show has gone massively downhill lately. I loved the first 3-4 seasons, but it seems like the writers have abandoned any urge they might have had to give the show any sort of cohesive story, and now it's just really random and unfunny. Also, Brak show was awesome.
  19. Confirmed: It was staged. Em was in on it and they even rehearsed it beforehand. http://scottaukerman.tumblr.com/
  20. If you guys get the chance, I recommend going the 3D route. I saw it last night and the 3D is actually quite well done, totally worth the extra $5 or whatever your local theatre might charge. Pixar's done it again, man. Outside of "Cars", I've been a fan of everything they've done. This one was great.
  21. I disagree with this. As much as I thought (staged or not) that it was a funny gag, I don't think it's at all homophobic to not want a man's bare asshole in your face.
  22. I really dug IDR and Vol. 1, but An Answer Can Be Found just lacked the excitement of the first two. Didn't do much for me. I've taken a quick listen to the new one but nothing has really grabbed me. Their sound is sort of like speed metal riffs, slowed way down. Lots of songs about horror movies and such. CKY stands for "Camp Kill Yourself" after all.
  23. Yo Gabba Gabba for sure. Sesame Street, Pee Wee's Playhouse and Bear in the Big Blue House are my all time faves.
  24. It's weird that people are only noticing Tim's Head tattoo now, although I guess he's usually wearing a hat. He's had one there since like 1997. It was a spiderweb but I guess he's since got it filled in or covered with something else.
