Alright, I took my before picture, but haven't uploaded it yet. The last time I was clean-shaven was Christmas Day, then maybe 4 or 5 days later I trimmed it down to stubble with an electric. It's been growing for almost 4 weeks I suppose. And tonight... it dies.

If I'm feeling up to it, I'll do a before- and after-shave picture of mine. I have an interview tomorrow, which makes me sad. But I gotta do what I gotta do in order to pay for this addiction.

Actually, if Brand New did an instrumental album, I'm sure I'd love it. The encore they did last tour, "Welcome to Bangkok"and every rock out in a longer song (Demo 4 i think, maybe 5.. for example) are just a hint of what they could do.

I'll agree that Magazines is a terrible, terrible, terrible song, Secondary is kinda bad, and I could go without Sudden Death in Carolina, but I think the rest of the CD is good or better.

If GY!BE is really there, I might have to be too. They're all I'd be excited to see, although I like Saturday the best out of them anyway. Edit.. d'oh, duped by the fake. The real one is quite meh.

And some of the songs, ie No Seatbelt Song and Mixtape, are great without being too pop-punky.

Maybe just nostalgia for the time when I listened to it, but it's one of my favorite albums of all time. Most of my music is nothing like that, but I think it just reflects where I was when it came out.

Some of us just want to listen to them, not hold onto them and gauge other people for it later, or sit smugly while we play our copy knowing 99% of the people that want to do the same can't.

I don't even care about having a first press of this, I really just want a copy in general. As long as the original artwork is there, and the quality is good, that's fantastic. If it still comes with the bonus track, that's a bonus. Who can we beg to press it again?

I don't trust that $76 dollar one. That ended like 8 days early.. I think there was some under-the-table deal done there. I'm sure it "sold" for $76 but the amount that changed hands was like $200+

So did I. I had put $122.05 or something in and lost, then put 130 in a panic and left off any cents or decimals. The winning bid was 130 exactly, and not mine. I was so close to winning.

well shit maybe i'm imagining it if i'm the only one that saw it. the long shot of the waterline at the end, when they're on the ferris wheel or whatever, on the right hand side of the screen i saw something fall into the water, looked like a meteor or something. Ohhh I missed that, but I know something was there according to wikipedia.

It makes up for all the looters at the store being black.. haha

I think you have to assume she made it, as long as the monster didn't continue on and destroy whereever they were evac'ing to.

Apparently that was the original title to keep it under-wraps until it had a full title, but the studio ended up keeping it. Also, it's the street the studio is located on.Story-wise, it was only mentioned during the government-file lead-in as the case's code name.

I opened a record a few days ago that was shrink-wrapped and a bit warped. I can't remember which one it was, off the top of my head, but it still played. I'm a little bummed, but hey, if the music still comes out...

Yea, I did mushrooms once on a whim and absolutely loved them. I never got big into drugs at all, but liked that. I haven't done anything in like 3 or 4 years tho. As for the ecstacy, my friend has been doing it a bunch, and his cousins have been doing it for years, which can't be at all good, but apparently it's reputable stuff they get. They're going to do it again soon and asked if anyone wanted to get involved, and I was drunk ,so I was like "Yea, why not?" Now I'm nervous, so I doubt I'll do it. Before I knew anything about drugs, I said I'd never do it, but sometimes attitudes change. I doubt I do it, though.

I think I missed it. Also... after the bombing and the credits started to roll, did anything happen? We left, but I always get nervous that something post-credits is going to reveal some secret.

Yea, it was really nice how they didn't explain what the monster was. The kids I saw it with and I talked about how it was better that they never really knew, instead of having some segment on the news that they see about it, ruining the mystery. It even sparked debate when another friend saw it... he came home and goes "so... it was an alien, right?" And another friend argued it was from underwater. It was all theoretical, "what do you think?" debate, but that would've been ruined if they told us. Also, another friend of mine had a cool idea. He saw an interview or read something where the director mentioned that in today's society, everyone documents everything. The Statue of Liberty head scene was a prime example, with everyone pulling out their cell phone cameras to shoot a photo of it. Because of this societal characteristic, thousands of other people in the city would have filmed the events just like the characters we met were. I think it would be cool, instead of a true sequel, like "the monster isn't dead, look at it destroy New Jersey!" there could be something where it's the same events, same day, but from another camera's perspective. Money-wise, I think it would flop terribly, but I would enjoy it. You could do another hand-held camera, a news reporter, even the soldiers with their head-cams.

I know why they're there, but I feel like there are far too many stickies in the vinyl forum. Maybe have a separate area for preorders and official announcements or something? Half the first page is stickies and other threads get bumped back way too quickly.
