Leafs looked horrible against Ottawa tonight. I know these are split squad games but Phaneuf and Kaberle were out there together tonight and they didn't look good at all. We had almost 4 minutes of 5 on 3 and barely got a shot, nevermind a chance. That Finnish goalie looked not too bad though.

It has actually happened since I've been here. Twice actually. It hardly ever snows, but the wind gets up to 80km/h (50mph) and there's nary a tree to be seen, so the snow that is out here just blows around like crazy. You can hardly see your hand in front of your face, especially if the sun is out (it hardly ever is in the winter. we get about 3 and a half hours of daylight each day between november and march). Once when I first got here, a woman got caught out in a storm like that and she froze to death. They found her about 15 feet from shelter that could have saved her life. Last winter, another woman was just outside of town and couldn't find her way back even though it's literally the only thing around for hundreds of miles. They found her body just over the hill behind the town. Whenever the weather is bad like that, everything completely shuts down, which means you can't get water delivered until it clears. We didn't get water for 6 days last winter because of a storm. There's no plumbing here because the pipes would freeze in that weather, so we have water tanks that are filled by water trucks.

There's no way they could have started Kolb after the way Vick has played the last two weeks. The guy hadn't even started a game in 4 years until last Sunday, and he played great.

I'm the Secretary-Treasurer for the school board here. Which is really only two schools. Basically I just pay all of the bills for the stuff the school buys, take minutes at meetings and pay any substitute teachers / custodians. I am more or less my own boss, which is how I'm able to spend all day every day on VC. haha. The scariest thing is I moved directly from Australia to here. For Left 4 Dead? Same thing, only the other people are played by the computer instead of people, this making them even STUPIDER. Left 4 Dead was made to be a multiplayer game. Yes, you can play it single player but you won't enjoy it nearly as much.

Dude, if you haven't played many video games since Super Nintendo, Dead Rising will throw you for a loop. It is basically impossible to do everything in that game on one playthrough. It's designed to be played two or three times in order to do and see everything. Left 4 Dead is not really that complicated, you just have to make it to the end of the level. Each level is a little bit different from the others in the way you have to do that. It is best played with people you know, because random asshats can ruin that game VERY quickly.
