  1. I'd say Hot Damn! and New Junk Aesthetic are pretty even in quite different ways Last Night In Town Big Dirty (not far behind, but it's kind of boring outside a few jams) (big gap) Gutter Phenomenon This is more or less how I feel as well. Although I would put Gutter Phenomenon ahead of Big Dirty. Big Dirty only has four songs I still listen to, but they are four of their best songs - We'rewolf, Rebel Without Applause, INRIhab & Buffalo Gals. My biggest problem with Gutter Phenomenon is compared to the rest of their post Last Night In Town albums, it sounds like shit. I would LOVE to hear a remaster of that album where the guitars sound like they do on Hot Damn! or New Junk Aesthetic. These guys have been my favorite band since Hot Damn! came out. I don't think they are the best band out there, but their whole attitude towards music and personalities combined with their killer tunes make them my favorite. Every album has at least three or four songs that are amazing though.
  2. Yeah man, Clooney is like the new Jack Nicholson. Dude will be cool until he dies. When I was younger, I used to RUN home at lunch so I could watch: And Jessica Alba was on that shit too! And of course, Popular Mechanics' for Kids own:
  3. Malkin definitely. Now, Green had 76 points last year and Semin had 84. I think Semin will have about the same this year, and Green might get a little more than 76. Do positions matter in your pool, or is it just skaters and goalies? Also, it depends on what other goalie options you will have if you get rid of Bryzgalov. I don't think he will have as good of a year this year as last year, but if your only other option is Jose Theodore or something, you're better off sticking with him because there are lots of forwards out there, but not lots of worthwhile goalies.
  4. Well, the last one came out August 8th, so I think people assumed that the 88 was the date. I have no idea what the 89 is about. Like I said, I figured it should be 99.
  5. Figures this goes up while I was on lunch break and is gone by the time I sit back down at my computer. Shouldn't this be Jesus Glue 99 though, not 89?
  6. Same here. That's why I am constantly playing games most people would never even consider playing. I have been dealing with a 256kbps downstream BURST satellite internet for the last year and a half. I can't even watch a 5 minute youtube video without leaving it to load for hours.
  7. As you can see, I have been playing Clive Barker's Jericho. Yes, it is as terrible as you probably think it is. I only started playing it because I tried playing Alan Wake again on Nightmare, and that shit is hard. Jericho was the first game on my shelf I haven't played that caught my eye, so in it went. It actually has some neat ideas and does some really cool things, but overall, the game is pretty awful.
  8. My grandma has been told she has six months to live for the last 4 years. First she had breast cancer and had a mastectomy, then it got to her lungs. She went through a ton of chemo and was told it was in remission, then it spread to her brain and she had surgery to try and remove THAT. Now it's in her bones. She's basically my second mom and I'm afraid that she might not make it until I go home at Christmas so I payed thousands of dollars to have her travel out here to come and be with me for a week.
  9. I've only read up to the end of the third hardcover, but out of the three, it was definitely my least favorite. However, it seems to set up the fourth hardcover for some crazy shit to go down, so I can't wait to read that one.
  10. Ask him if he's going to get to make his BSG movie about shit jumping off again after the series is over that he keeps talking about...
  11. Going over 4 GB of RAM? What are you doing on this PC anyways? You won't have a problem with 64 bit drivers now. When the tech was in it's infancy, it was a little difficult to find 64 bit drivers for some things, but a huge number of people are running 64 bit OS these days.
  12. I think Eberle will be there. He was IMO the best player at the World Juniors... probably the most NHL ready after Alex Pietrangelo, who had already played a little in the NHL. I'm still not sold on Hall, but I haven't really seen a ton of him.
  13. Yeah, Gearbox. The company that made Borderlands and Company of Heroes. They have been working on Duke since the end of 2009.
  14. Does the one with the "safe" cover have New York City Cops on it still?
  15. I just took a peek at that as well, and it's very poorly written. I mean there are pictures and he does say what everything is, but doesn't explain why he's doing it or what anything does. For example, one of the boxes says "Identify the front panel leads." but doesn't explain that these are the connectors that make the power and activity lights on the front of your case work.
  16. That's the thing though, you don't have to be able to understand it to build a PC. If something fits somewhere, that's where it goes. The only problem a novice PC builder -might- have is putting the CPU in the socket properly, because there's around 1000 little pins that are easily bent, but even then they can be bent back.
  17. Great deal on Comrie. I always liked him as a player. Wish he came to the Leafs for $500k. He's exactly the kind of player we need right now.
  18. Building a PC is literally no harder than following the instructions to your Ikea furniture. If you know what RAM is, you can probably build a computer. Also:
  19. I have been using a Macbook as my primary computer since 2005, after being a guy who built his own custom PC's before that. Like Erik said, the only difference at this point is the OS. I prefer OSX to Windows because it doesn't have seemingly arbitrary filename limitations like Windows/NTFS Drives do, and because of Exposé. I find Exposé makes my workflow go SO much quicker. And, OSX has been rock solid for me. In the 5 years I have had that computer, it has crashed TWICE. And both times were a result of something I did. That said, in the next year I will be building another Windows PC for games. I don't really think the "debate" is so great anymore. With Apple you are paying a premium on hardware for design aesthetics and a different operating system. With a Windows PC you are paying less money, getting a more open platform and the ability to more easily upgrade your hardware. However, Windows has to work with all sorts of different hardware so that usually makes it a little more unstable.
  20. Found out my copy actually did ship, Merchnow just didn't mark it as shipped. I have a copy of Shorter, Faster, Louder I will probably end up trading/selling once I get home at Christmas. If I do end up selling it, I feel like I should give Scott dibs since he made this thread and missed out.
  21. I would bet it will come out here. I think their last few games have done better than they expected. If not, I hope they at least put English subs in the Japanese version.
