  1. How soon do you think the preorder will be up for the Gates EP? I would love to order both (as well as the Matthew Vincent / Alex Correia split) and would like them all together to save on shipping. I can't see this selling out too quickly. Also, the new song rules.
  2. If by boxset then that means we don't have a choice about buying the records individually then the only two I would want would be The Aquabats! and Westbound Train since they have no albums released on vinyl yet. (However it would be very unlikely due to Fearless records in the Aquabats case but I can dream.)
  3. Sorry, you're right, I just didn't know which of these topics it fell under, since it is an old album, but it is one of my favorites and I've wanted a copy since I first started collecting records 4 years ago.
  4. Senses Fail - Let it Unfold You Andrew W.K. - I Get Wet Mephiskapheles - God Bless Satan Thursday - War All the Time Death From Above 1979 - You're a Woman, I'm a Machine
  5. Good to see a lot of my choices listed Full Lengths The Gaslight Anthem - Handwritten Masked Intruder - Masked Intruder Hop Along - Get Disowned The Tower and the Fool - How Long The Menzingers - On the Impossible Past EP's Muncie Girls - Revolution Summer Prawn - Ships State Champs - Overslept Spraynard - Exton Square
  6. Items: Junior Battles "Idle Ages" LP - Clay x 1 @ $12.00 Red City Radio - "The Dangers of Standing Still" - White x 1 @ $12.00 Shook Ones - "The Unquotable A.M.H." - Grey speck 3rd press x 1 @ $12.00 Westbound Train - "Come and Get It" Single - Yellow x 1 @ $4.00 Subtotal: $40.00 Shipping: $14.00 Discount: -$26.64 Total: $27.36 USD I think this is a good deal. I've been wanting these records for awhile. Shipping is always expensive to Canada so I usually spend over $20 for an LP if I order it individually so it is nice to get three for almost the same price.
  7. You are so right. It is going to be called Get Real. In my head I just read get rad.
  8. Lots of amazing releases came out this year. Dowsing - It's Still Pretty Terrible Gates - You Are All You Have Left to Fear http://gates.bandcamp.com Hop Along - Get Disowned http://hopalong.bandcamp.com Japandroids - Celebration Rock mewithoutYou - Ten Stories Suis La Lune - Riala http://topshelfrecor...com/album/riala The Tower and the Fool - How Long http://runforcoverre.../album/how-long The Menzingers - On the Impossible Past Anticipating (I'm pretty sure these will make it): Math the Band - Get Rad Mixtapes - Even on the Worst Nights Prawn - Ships http://topshelfrecor...com/album/ships The Gaslight Anthem - Handwritten
  9. I like the blue color. I hope eventually we have a pre-order for it that is not going to be more than $25 shipped to Canada.
  10. Well, I took your advice and decided to give it another shot and it's pretty good. I'll listen another couple times and the other ones too and it's not like there is an excess of ska records coming out anyway.
  11. I have the Pietasters - Willis and Pilfers - Chawalaleng on CD so I am familiar and the only Edna's goldfish song I really like is Veronica Sawyer. There are a few songs I like a lot from Rump Shaker like High Fives and Up All Night but I just don't think I would listen to these records all the way through. Although I thank you a million times for putting Spring Heeled Jack on vinyl. The reunion show in 2010 made my high school dream of hearing Jolene live a reality!
  12. I didn't pledge to this kickstarter because I wasn't interested in those four records but there are a lot of ska records I really want and would definitely pledge next time if you are going to make them available. I hope you can get at least one of the following. Big D and the Kids Table - Good Luck or How it Goes High School Football Heroes - Close Only Counts in Horseshoes and Hand Grenades Mephiskapheles - God Bless Satan Reel Big Fish - Turn the Radio Off or Why Do They Rock So Hard? The Aquabats - Fury of the Aquabats, vs the Floating Eye of Death or Charge (The non Fearless ones) The Hippos - Heads Are Gonna Roll The Suicide Machines - Destruction By Definition or Battle Hymns Westbound Train - Searching for a Melody or Five to Two Still stoked that there are still people interested in ska. I just need to find some new bands.
  13. All I know about this is the lyrics to the song by Emo Side Project "All my best friends are obsessed with marble hornets and porn star tits. They've got one thing in common, they're fake as fucking shit and I'm over it."
  14. I don't see Brother,Sister on IVWT anywhere Sorry, maybe I got the last one. I was conveniently waiting for a sale to pick it up and I didn't want to post about it sooner because I didn't think that they had many and I wanted to make sure I got a copy.
  15. You can still get [A->B] Life and Catch for us the Foxes for $14 on Interpunk and Brother, Sister is 12.99 at Invinylwetrust (Plus they have a 15% off sale until Sunday with code: Oneyear15) Also, It's All Crazy! It's All False It's All A Dream! It's Alright is 15.99 at Insound. Have at it.
  16. Knew I should have driven the two hours. Fuck. Sorry man. I got there like 10 minutes before opening at 9:30 and the line was like 50 people but I think they probably sold out of these by 10 a.m.
  17. Thank you to whoever suggested Aux 33 Tours for this! They had a bunch but people were only allowed to buy one copy. I'm glad I got my copy! Good luck to everyone else.
  18. Record Stores: Sound central: http://soundcentralstore.com/v4_en/index.php Cheap thrills: http://cheapthrills.ca/index.html Aux 33 tours: http://www.aux33tours.com/ There are lots of others though that I haven't been to so you might want to check this list: http://www.nightlife.ca/liste/top-10-best-record-stores-montreal For vegan restaurants I know of three but have only been to two of them. The main one is Aux Vivres http://www.auxvivres.com/en/home/ but I don't really like their food that much. The one I prefer is http://thegreenpanther.com/menu.html which has two locations and the food is cheaper. This one is even more fancier and I've never been there because the prices were too high for my tastes. http://www.crudessence.com/ If you were coming on a weekday I'd tell you to hit up People's Potato at Concordia University or Midnight Kitchen at McGill University where they serve a by-donation vegan lunch everyday of the week and the food is amazing!
  19. Most of the people I know pretty much agree that everything they have put out is great and unique in it's own way, but I feel it's their best. One person who agrees with me. I think it is their best too. I don't really like Separation or Only Boundaries that much but I like the split with Tigers Jaw. But yeah it sucks they won't press this. I listen to it all the time.
  20. I love listening to Garth Brooks but I get serious flak for it in my house (however deservedly that may be). I was going to start a topic one time about where a good place to buy early 90's country records would be but I figured no one on here would be interested. It's good to see I'm not alone. The first 12 years of life I listened to Country almost exclusively growing up in a very rural area and I have some fond nostalgic memories of those times.
  21. Everyone's lists need more: The Aquabats! - Hi-Five Soup! (I maybe biased because they have been my favorite band since high school) The rest of my top 4 will be: The Wonder Years - Suburbia La Dispute - Wildlife The Horrible Crowes - Elsie Other records I bought and enjoyed: Pianos Become the Teeth - The Lack Long After The World/Inferno Friendship Society - The Anarchy and the Ecstasy Lemuria - Pebble Eisley - The Valley Touche Amore - Parting Bomb - Vacation My favorites from the past that received a repressing / first pressing this year: Latterman - All 3! RVIVR - The Joester Sessions '08-'11 Mixtapes - Maps and Companions The Calm Blue Sea - st Alkaline Trio - From Here to Infirmary Brand New - Your Favorite Weapon (Assuming I actually get it this year) The Menzingers - Chamberlain Waits Minus the Bear - Highly Refined Pirates Thursday - Full Collapse Coheed and Cambria - The Second Stage Turbine Blade Disappoints: Set Your Goals - Should have been Top 5 but didn't deserve a purchase Four Year Strong - Didn't listen yet but from the songs I've heard I am scared to Taking Back Sunday - reuniting did not mean TAYF Pt. II
  22. I preordered on Interpunk. Also of note: the CD version now costs more than the record version on Interpunk.
  23. I got an email today telling me my Wonder Years lp shipped. I should have just cancelled because with this strike I'll probably be able to just buy it from the band at warped before it arrives. Also, I like how my hightide hotel lp has apparently finally shipped after months of waiting but it is now stuck somewhere in the post so who knows if I'll ever get it.
  24. Glad to see so many good choices above. I second Alkaline Trio - From Here to Infirmary The Anniversary - Designing a Nervous Breakdown Brand New - Your Favorite Weapon Jawbreaker - 24 Hour Revenge Therapy Mineral - The Powerof Failing New Found Glory - Selftitled (Non-picture disc) New Found Glory Sticks and Stones The Promise Ring - Nothing Feels Good Saves the Day - Through Being Cool Saves the Day - I'm sorry, I'm Leaving and I'd like to add Andrew W. K. - I Get Wet A Wilhelm Scream - Ruiner Catch 22 - Keasbey Nights City of Caterpillar - Selftitled Coheed and Cambria - In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth:3 Eisley - Room Noises Funeral Diner - The Underdark Gospel - The Moon is a Dead World Latterman - No Matter Where We Go..! (This has been announced on No Idea) The Movielife - Forty Hour Train Back to Penn The Starting Line - Say it Like You Mean it Thursday - Full Collapse Thursday - War All the Time The Vandals - Hitler Bad, Vandals Good
