  1. Best store bought tortillas? I currently use mission yellow corn tortillas. I am moving to Los Angeles in a few weeks and am hoping I'll have more choices.
  2. I think that there needs to be serious measures taken to get guns off the streets and to keep them out of inner cities. I'm not sure if people realize just how incredibly simple and cheap it is to get guns in most cities. I think that laws being put in place to try to curb this have a hard time getting passed or enforced because people automatically assume that the government is trying to make guns illegal for everyone. I used to live in a neighborhood in Brooklyn where shootouts happened on a regular basis. Innocent people get shot all of the time from strays. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would be apposed to stopping this type of thing from happening. As for law abiding citizens owning guns, I'm all for it. I used to be very against it but I've changed my mind. Unfortunately as an American I live in a country where people feel the need to kill others at random. I don't believe people do this because guns exist. There is some other reason, and that needs to be understood with the hope that it can be prevented. I believe that I have every right to own and carry a gun. If I have to go through extensive background checks, be evaluated by doctors for my mental health, and go through training and education programs, I'm totally fine with that. I have a family to protect and I should be able to do that in any way that I see fit.
  3. From what I understand there is absolutely no benefit to smoking light cigarettes. In fact it's probably worse since people get the false idea that it's not as bad, and end up smoking more. Marketing cigarettes as light is banned in New York for this exact reason. I thought that was a national thing but maybe I'm wrong. Try making exercise a part of your daily routine if you can. It helped me a lot when I did that. If I smoked at any point in the day before I went to the gym, I was pretty much useless there.
  4. The first step I took to quitting was leaving my cigarettes at home when I went to work in the morning. It was really helpful. A huge part of the addiction is the habit of smoking at certain parts of the day. You have to break that habit and realize your entire day will be just fine without cigarettes. After a while I started smoking less and less in the evenings and eventually reduced myself to only smoking on weekends. Once I was at that point, it was not very difficult to quit completely. If you have the opportunity, buying loose cigarettes from a bodega is the way to go when you are trying to cut down. Sometimes you just need to have a cigarette, and buying a fresh pack will always, 100 percent of the time lead you right back to heavy use. Maybe consider giving your pack to a close friend to hold for you.
  5. What about peeing in the pool? I think it is disgusting and unacceptable although many seem to encourage it.
  6. I think Adnan did it and I don't really think it's odd for him to be maintaining his innocence. A lot of people would. He may not want to be branded as a murdered for the rest of his life. As long as he denies it, there will always be a lot of people who believe him. I think Jay played a part in covering up the murder, but not much else. He lied a lot, but that is somewhat understandable. He was really young, scared, trying to protect himself, and had a bad opinion about talking to the police. Baltimore is not a great place for snitches. I think most of the confusion comes from the state's case. There wasn't enough evidence to prove their version of things. That doesn't mean he didn't do it and it surely doesn't mean the cops and attorney's won't do or say anything to win a case. I think the only other possibility is that she was killed by a serial killer. It's unlikely when you consider Jay's testimony though.
  7. It would be awesome if the media refused to report on any of the hacked information. There isn't much of a difference between this hack and the hack of all those nude celebrity photos. That stuff wasn't shown and neither should Sony's information be shown.
  8. This is pretty much what it all boils down to. Other movie studios were probably pressuring them to pull the release as well. Christmas is one of the biggest times of the year for movie theaters. I can understand why they are doing this. They can just release the movie in a few weeks.
  9. The whole case seems crazy to me. How could they not have tested all of the items found around the body for DNA? The whole investigation and trial seems like it was botched. Doesn't mean he didn't actually do the crime. Who else and why?
  10. Where are these smaller shows being announced? Would love to hit up NYC. Saw them a few years back at Irving Plaza and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen.
  11. Happy Friday! Fucking Scarlett Johansson and Fleetwood Mac records sold before Tragedy, Hot Water Music, & BTBAM? Didn't see that happening.

  14. This ridiculous family sitcom Grounded for Life from the early 00's. Kevin Corrigan was absolutely hilarious in that show. Anything with the Wayans Bros. Police Academy 6. Best one by far.
  15. Biggest mistake I made early on was going to eBay to look for records.

  17. Didn't he kill that kid because he was getting his ass beaten so badly he thought his life was in jeopardy?
  18. If they had any solid info they would probably share. I'm assuming they bit off quite a bit more than they could chew with this concept. Probably should have had them made first before selling them.
