siphon, a good way to find out about new bands is to (legally) download all of teh free compilations that are available. Fat has done it, Vinyl Collective/Suburban Home has done it, there were awesome free comps for The Fest VI and VII I think. Punknews and other sites like that often offer free streams of new albums. Then if you like a band, you can check out stores like VC for Vinyl.
