  1. one of the best things about moonbeams is that he has changed his username 4 times in under a year. started out as plain old 'moonbeams' then changed it to 'PinapplePizza' (not a typo on my part but definitely one on his). 2 months later he changes it to 'Vinyl Message Board Nuissa' (again, not a typo on my part, he probably kept typing even after hitting the character limit and couldn't fit 'Nuissance' in). within 2 months he changes he username yet again, this time to 'Classic Moonbeams'. now he's on 'Classy Moonbeams' before he changes it again to something dumber like " Stay Classy Moonbeams."
  2. no, no, no, no, no it would actually be /1 because there is one that has LP 1 on purple/LP 2 on gold and one that has LP 1 on gold/LP 2 on purple. would be /2 because of the above reason. assuming there are only 4 nutjobs out there who think it's cool to make up their own variants but odds are there are far more than that.
  3. i wonder if you even know where the term b-side originated from
  4. why don't you just go to cassette collective and steal everything from them
  5. if you guys actually believe what he is telling you. he could easily put in any age he wants in his profile. he could respond to emails any way he wants. wouldnt surprise me if he came up with the "this is his dad" story to make things seem more believable and to get people of his back. can't put anything past people who lie, cheat and steal. but it seems people are actually getting their money back. time will tell if the records he owes people actually get received though.
  6. still marveled by the fact you actually weigh every single record you get. and not a single comment about how the record sounds, the most important aspect of anything containing a sound recording. seems people will do eveything with a record except actually listen to it.
  7. if all these people are so heavily invested in making a new jacket/cover/slip cover/lyric sheet/time machine/teleporter and creating a new variant for this in the process just because the cover art is fucked up you think someone would have licensed it out themselves and done it the right way from the get go. i see at least two guys with labels who want one of these fly by night made up variants.
  8. don't know what you're complaining about. that is pretty much the standard weight. between 120-140
  9. and that sentiment is exactly why the powers at be give zero fucks about the quality of anything. they know some schmuck will still buy it. hell they could literally smear shit all over the cover and many idiots will still buy it.
  10. if you're playing the game of you're stupid because you think hot topic is a label try again. i based my comments on thinking hot topic, along with mca/geffen/universal, had some say in the final approval stages. pretty sure travis said he approves tests in at least one of the countless hot topic is pressing (insert album here) threads. from his comment of "this will never happen again" after the Thrice record i assumed someone at hot topic had to give final approval on the art layout along with people at universal. of course i could be wrong in thinking that or my memory could be wrong. and if someone wants to prove me wrong with actual facts or go digging through old threads to find out travis never said anything along those lines i welcome it.
  11. and it's not the first time a cover had pixelated artwork with a hot topic exclusive release. after that Thrice record came out with garbage artwork Travis said it would never happened again. the coincidences keep piling up with hot topic, and i'm in the group that doesn't believe in coincidences. hot topic definitely loves the half assed approach when it comes to anything relating to vinyl.
  12. i thought coin flips werent available with the bundles. they were only meant to be randomly inserted in orders for the enjoy the ride vaiant or the equal vison variant
  13. pretty sure they said something along those lines when they excluded vinyl from hot cash the first time with their BS reason for initiating that policy. something like they want to help the true music fans by stopping people from buying shitloads of vinyl to flip.
  14. so can anyone who has this confirm that What It Is To Burn is on there in its entirety? it doesnt cut out after 30 seconds or cut out at any point for that matter? i went back a few pages where people were saying they bought this in store, but all i saw was talk about how crappy the cover looks so it won't look good framed and that it's a gatefold with an insert.
  15. he's definitely not the only one who buys shit on the cheap here and then immediately tries to flip it somewhere else. that bobloblaw guy who everyone seemed to love back in the heyday of picking stuff up from hot topic for international folks was recently outed in another thread as having a flipping store. which he stocked by buying shit from people here for like $10-20 and then putting it up for sale in his store right after he got it in the mail for like $50-$60.
  16. just so everyone is up to date with this since there seems to be a lot of interested parties now. here is the thread he made on DF about the hidden in plain view record. which i found because of this thread after looking at loserkid1's profile to read his posts and threads started on DF. http://deadformat.net/topic/45220 the "explaination" he gave Joe is clearly a lie since that thread was started Friday night and i pm'd Joe about everything today, Sunday. so yesterday would've been Saturday.
  17. and it's par for the course with that guy's poorly punctuated and down right absurd ramblings.
  18. he's accepting payment in the form of gift cards. where all you have to do is email him a pic of said gift card with the number blacked out and upon receipt of the record(s) you then email him the gift card number. never thought i'd see a scammer set themselves up to be scammed.
