  1. why people don't print out labels with paypal is beyond me. it's cheaper than going to the post office because you pay less for delivery confirmation, you don't have to wait in line at the post office, and the time you spend dealing with the idiots who work at the post office is a tiny fraction of what it could be. you can even get away with shorting the weight of the packages to pay less in postage. put in an even 1 pound for 1 LP when it weighs closer to 2 pounds packaged properly and i've never had any issues. 1 pound is the cut off for additional postage, under is one rate and anything over costs more.
  2. so it goes from buying extras for the boards mainly to keep them out of the hands of flippers to buying extras to flip on ebay in a matter of hours just because of the outrageous price. stay classy VC.
  3. i love how people assume everyone here listens to their records
  4. people are going way overboard with this buying extras for people here. i'm all for helping out people who are a positive force in any online community like these boards and have hooked people up here in the past but at this rate all of them will be bought by people from this board. this place is not the center of the music and/or record collecting universe. i'll never understand what makes people here so entitled and why they hold this message board so high and mighty so that members here are the only ones deserving of having a record.
  5. so instead of holding back some records from BOGO or hot cash hot topic removes the entire vinyl section. anyone who thought hot topic didnt wait to put records up online till after sales, there's no denying it now.
  6. people need to stay on top of their auctions and need to cancel bids from anyone in st johns florida and orange park florida. don't even consider the fact that the account might have 100% feedback or what you would consider good feedback. not worth the risk, headache or hassle. there have been quite a few scammer lately who purposely did a few good transactions to build cred/feedback just so they can rip people off later on. and there have been quite a few scammers lately who use different emails, names, usernames and addresses all on the same transaction to cover their tracks. this musicinveins guy has done all of the above. i called out that musicandmoney2013 account a few weeks ago and some people questioned me, hate to say i told you so but. if a username is thrown in this thread it's safe to assume it is this scam artist. and he especially likes to bid on title fight stuff. when he was a somewhat active user here he would always be looking for title fight stuff. so if you have title fight stuff up on ebay be on the lookout for this cockgobbler.
  7. this guy is now at the top of the worst/most annoying people here totem pole. can't wait for your next thread! will it be about worrying if a record you want is a bootleg but you buy it anyway, wanting to know the pressing info for marky mark and the funky bunch or i'm devastated because a record i ordered 5 minutes ago that has jesse lacey's pubes mixed in didn't ship yet. the suspense is killing me.
  8. post the guy who won and never paid's username so people can block him from their auctions. if you don't want to name and shame publicly at least pm me his name so i can block him. hate dickheads that do shit like this.
  9. quickly becoming one of the most annoying people here
  10. that still comes out to over $100 total. do you realize he is charging in euros, not USD? and do you realize you will have to press two 12" records due to the length of the songs you want to press?
  11. people who ask questions here they really shouldnt. especially when it's easier to just call the place, plus you'll get a defininite answer straight from the horse's mouth. like the genius who thought asking on a message board dedicated to records if a paycheck would hit his bank account immediately.
  12. this was posted on ap.net. along with nearly every other hot topic exclusive this past year. those morons eat this shit up.
  13. this is probably why they had the "stock issues." they did the same thing with those thrice re-presses. they had either a BOGO or hot cash going on, and the very next day after those sales/promotions ended the thrice records went up on the site.
  14. gotta love how hot topic dicks around with these sales. wait to put things up till right after the sales are over.
  15. thought of a few more. people who made a sale thread and start it off with some sob story along the lines of "i'm broke and in desperate need of money." then a few days later that person makes a want to buy thread. we get it, you want to sell some shit that goes for a good chunk of change, no need for bullshit, just make a list of all the records you want to sell and be done with it. the trend lately of people buying/pre-ordering something and once it comes they "realize" they "didn't want it as much as they thought they did" or "i don't listen to this as much as i used to." then why buy it in the first place? it seems like that's all anyone did with those new fall out boy and panic at the disco re-presses hot topic sold. it would be different if it happened a few years after buying it, but these people are pre-ordering records where the gap between ordering and receiving is under 2 months.
  16. the search on this new board is not all that bad. took me one time to dig up that musicinveins ripoff thread that was dormant for close to a year. the only issue is that a bunch of results come up sometimes depending on how specific your search is.
  17. it's been stated over and over in this thread that he does monitor the boards and this thread in particular for any mention of his activity. plus i think he did face legal trouble after he ripped off the guy who runs vinyljunkie. back on pgs. 18-19 in the thread you can read everything. he shed some good light into the situation because he was one of the only people who actually took matters in his own hands by making phone calls to the proper authorities. pretty sure he filed a police report. then when the vinyljunkie dude laid all his cards out on the table, musicinveins douche paniced and sent the record he stole back. he stole that huge $150 bad religion discography box set. that was in a long stretch of ripoffs he pulled involving bank fraud and stealing records where he eventually started sending everyone their records back. since then he has been laying low for 7-8 months, but could easily start back up with his old criminal activity.
  18. let it be known that i as well appreciate when people post that they got their record(s) in or got a shipping notice whether it's a pre-order or a new release that ships when the records are in hand. it's the people that are post #15, 16, 17 on up who say i got it that are a little unnecessary
  19. new people who join and their first post is trying to sell shit and new people who join with their first post just looking to buy things like deja, clarity, through being cool, alchemy index. with their concurrent posts being bumps of said threads. and when they have no success they are never seen or heard from again. people saying "shoot me offers" in a want to buy thread. that's not how it works dude. probably goes without saying these same people also ask "how much" when people have 'make an offer' in a for sale thread. a thread de-volving into a pissing contest that lasts 5 or more pages. this one goes hand in hand and can't exist without the other; people who use the wrong terminology and people who immediately jump on people who use the wrong terminology. parody threads. thought they were dead for good but they made a comeback recently with that "vagina appreciation thread" and "squirting appreciation." 20 or more people exclaiming in threads "bought it on xxx color!" "got a shipping notice!" "got this in the mail today!" people who call records sexy feeding trolls just for the sake of feeding trolls no more "hot topic should press this" threads repeated thanks, love you, you're the man, awesome job, you rule and your rock directed at Travis. i think he gets it at this point. people who only accept payment as a gift, people who pay as a gift and people who think bitcoin is ok. people being thrown in the terrible buyers/sellers/traders thread for no real reason, just because some kid's record doesnt ship the next day, they don't receive their record in as little as a few days or their record arrived with no damage but they're still not happy with how it was packaged
