I've been trying the thing where I don't listen to singles in anticipation of an album and holy shit this album is fucking great. I am so, so impressed by this album.
Side note, I didn't care much for Evil Friends and didn't even realize it's been four years since that album came out. Big change of pace for the band that was putting out an album a year for pretty much seven years straight.

MUCH better

I'll keep an eye on this for the vinyl. That single does absolutely nothing for me though.

Got mine in the mail yesterday...of course it's missing the 12" single...time to waid through customer service.

Release Date: 6/30/17
This is a pre-order. Orders containing this item will only ship when the pre-order goods become available. Orders WILL NOT be part shipped.
They shipped mine separately as well. I thought the same thing but I checked the shipping email and it shows that they are indeed parting them out.

See I thought Strange Desire kinda died down in the second half, and I feel the same about this one. Perhaps it's more of a grower, but it feels a bit uneven after a couple of listens. But I Miss Those Days and Don't Take The Money alone are good enough to warrant a purchase.
I agree with you that both albums have a much weaker back half, this one especially so in my opinion. However, Strange Desire has Like A River Runs, probably my favorite song by him, and closes with Who I Want You to Love, which blows Foreign Girls out of the water in comparison. Still like the album, but aside from I Miss Those Days, tracks 6-12 don't do too much for me. Don't Take The Money is my favorite on the album for sure.

Amazon sells the red/white marble, in case anyone else here was curious. Thought I could get away with using them but it looks like I'll have to go the FYE route for a red.
What's everyone's thoughts on the album? I've listened three times and maybe I just like his usual bombast better but I'm a little underwhelmed. Seems pretty slow, whereas Strange Desire was just banger after banger. Hopefully it grows on me.

I'll also toss my name into the mix for the clear. Trying to keep the Antonoff collection complete. I'm a sucker

Not particularly this album, but their final album was super underrated.
You and I are on the same page with this. That album was really good and holds up way, way better than this album does. Unfortunately no one seemed to really care about it at the time. I got excited when I saw the thread title because I thought it was going to be the self-titled. Alas.
-
So now I'm more confused than I was before. Am I just dumb? So the red/white swirl will actually be the one sold everywhere, but the solid red is only available through FYE? I just want to know whether I need to cancel my Amazon order or not. Don't need two red/white swirls. I don't know. Maybe I'm just a dunce

gameplay reveal or whatever today.
looked pretty meh (as far as new stuff)
looked pretty same (as far as old stuff).
Replacing the Fire Warlock with Swordlock, Arc Blade with Arc Rafiki, and Bubble Boy with Steven Universe.
1 new raid at launch. new strikes. new story. where a selling point was "more cutscenes than all of destiny 1 COMBINED!" which I'm not sure how that's a selling point butok.
Still gonna buy. 4v4 cruck sounds like an improvement to your typical 6v6 chaos BS. Raid teams gon be mad about that change but I do not have more than 3 friends so I'm chill with it.
Raids still use 6 people, it's just PVP that is 4v4 across the board now. That's the way I understood it, and I think I saw a couple 6 person pictures in reference to the raid as well. Unless you were just talking about groups of friends, then my bad.
Either way, I'm excited. Looks like it'll be a good game. Plus ingame soccer, sa-weet

Cali has laws against buying/selling autographed merchandise.
Thanks, just looked it up. It's so cool when inane laws get in the way of people being able to enjoy something simple. This part is interesting in regard to the vinyl game--RIP to ever getting anything cool autographed in California:
(6) “Limited edition” means any collectible that meets all of the following requirements:(A) A company has produced a specific quantity of a collectible and placed it on the open market.(B) The producer of the collectible has posted a notice, at its primary place of business, that it will provide any consumer, upon request, with a copy of a notice that states the exact number of a collectible produced in that series of limited editions.(C) The producer makes available, upon request of a consumer, evidence that the electronic encoding, films, molds, or plates used to create the collectible have been destroyed after the specified number of collectibles have been produced.(D) The sequence number of the collectible and the number of the total quantity produced in the limited edition are printed on the collectible. -
In the description for the booklet, it ends with
Note that autographed items will not ship to California addresses.
I'm not in California, but why ever would that be?

Never thought I'd see her smile on an album cover

Holy cow, love the new song. Dude knows how to write a hook. I am obsessed with all Jack projects and I really loved the first Bleachers album. Highly anticipated from me.

Will Yip only produced 2/6 albums, if you count the new one. So Im not sure what you mean
The last two Anthony Green solo albums were with him producing as well. My intention was everything recently, I suppose

Kinda unrelated, but I wonder if Circa Survive will release their next album through Black Cement.
I was wondering the same thing. I already know they recorded the next album with him, but I wish Anthony would branch out to a different producer instead of using Will for literally everything. I enjoyed Descensus but I like when bands use different producers. Anyway, back to topic.

Thank you, I've been looking forever for something nice to put my 7"s in that actually fits them well. I'll try it out

Honestly I don't know the last time that pre-release singles have gotten me so excited for an album. This went from being a, "Oh cool, that should be good whenever it comes out" record to, "Holy shit this could be one of my best records of 2017."

Damn, how hard is it to actually look at the table?
I had a VIP ticket and was one of the first to hit the table before GA was let in. I even asked and the merch guy said he didn't know, so I just bought a slipmat. Maybe they put them up after the show, I peeked as I was leaving but I still didn't see it. Sorry man
-
God, that is beautiful. For some reason they NEVER have any prints when they come to Arizona and tonight was no exception. I was so disappointed. I hope they will be online after the tour...

I think I'll order the test press just to avoid the horrific album art. The art for the first two albums was incredible, Life of Leisure wasn't bad, then there's this trash
