yeah...they're complete fucking idiots at MerchNow...jade tree and think fast use merch companies(I'm sure more do too) and not only is it a rip off from shipping rates, but the people that work there suck at filling orders correctly. the concept of a merch company is good for small bands being able to mass produce merch at a lower cost, but that's where it should end. I actually wrote think fast when the ignite lp came out if I could order direct through them and they whined about it, but I told them that if I was going to pay $6 or $7 shipping on a $10 LP, then the label was getting the money not their stupid merch company...so they begrudgingly accepted and then it took them a month to mail it to me...citing there was "a glitch in the webstore that didn't display a media mail option." fuckers. I wish I still had the emails. edit: that, and Rivalry Records doesn't mail LPs with plastic sleeves on them, which is the dumbest thing of all time.

I'll be mailing all of these out today. thanks to everyone that requested one.

in retrospect... as I've been reviewing both Steve's interview and what I said...maybe I do come off a bit too harsh on him due to some hearsay and really shouldn't have made comments about a person I don't know...uh...personally. So please don't let my comments affect what you think of Steve or his label. As I stated above...i like Steve's label and have ordered records from him in the past, have a pending mail order and plan on ordering almost all of his upcoming releases(mentioned in the interview) too. I'm not going to modify my first post, because it's out there and people need to know sometimes when you've made an ass out of yourself. I hate being a downer on anyone considering I have a reputation as being too nice to people...so I'm sorry Steve. I sincerely hope you'll accept my apology.

Hey Steve, I didn't plan on that creating any ill will, just stating how I interpreted the interview. Either way I'm still going to order records from you...like have in the past and will continue to do....after all is said and done, you run a great record label. In the end what else really matters? and on that note...when is the Arrivals / Brokedowns 7" coming in? I'm calling it now...this will be in the top 5 7"s of the year.

good interview...but he comes off a liiiiiittle too arrogant....the first question solidifies it and then it just builds throughout. Definitely explains why people told me not to talk to him at the Fest because they were all saying he's a dick. just sayin.

tolkien snobs are all like that...there's no arguing or debating points like that I think the movies are equally as good in different ways personally.

it makes me giggle thinking that this thread is still alive and going strong. that said:

a couple years ago i made a benefit compilation cd to sell at a Fest here in Chicago of live recordings from my old radio show that I was still doing at the time and we packaged the comps exclusively in Victory Records CD sampler sleeves that me and my friend Dusty saved for about 6 months and had donated for the project...and just pasted the tracklisting on the cover...we only defaced the Sinai Beach ones because that band not only sucked and were Christian, but they they're wack job pro-lifers and they thanked GW Bush and all th armed forces in their CD. Possibly the worst thing ever for a Victory band...which if you think about is a feat unto itself.
